Guide for Bidders 1.

Lots will open at 80% of the estimates listed in the catalogue. No bids under this will be accepted. 2. The price paid by the bidder is calculated as follows: hammer price + 15% buyer’s commission + applicable Value Added Tax (VAT) for lots delivered in Germany. Lots exported outside of the European Union will not be assessed VAT, but bidders are responsible for respecting customs laws of the countries to which they wish their lots to send. 3. Bidders can submit written bids with the accompanying bidsheet. 4. If you are bidding in our auction for the first time, please give us the name of another dealer that knows you well as a reference. If you are unable to do this, we can only send you your lots after your invoice has been paid in full. 5. Payment may be made by cash, valid cheque, bank/post wire or credit card (EC, VISA, American Express, ec-cash). You‘ll be charged with 3.5% if you‘ll pay by credit card. For bidders outside Germany, we recommend payment via postal money order (“Postgiro“). High supplemental charges can occur if payment is made by cheque or bank wire. 6. The ideal way to take part in one of our auctions is, of course, to attend in person. Up to the time of the sale, and even between the sessions, you will be able to inspect the lots at your leisure. This way, you have no shipping charges, you will have seen the lots yourself and there will be no chance of loss or theft in the mail. 7. Any loss in the mail is covered by our own insurance. 8. The lots are sold as viewed. Returns are not permitted. For this reason as well, attendance in person is recommended. 9. For lots sent by mail a charge will be added following the conditions at the end of the catalogue. 10. A subscription for four catalogues costs 45 €. If you like to subscribe to our catalogues, please credit the appropriate amount to our Postbank account. The price for a single catalogue is 15 €. 11. The Conditions of sale at the end of the catalogue will be used as guidelines in case of dispute.
