Gopio Triolet North Mauritius Celebrates Navratri/Durga Pooja And Vijaya Dashami

The GOPIO TRIOLET NORTH MAURITIUS, in collaboration with the Nav Yuvak Mandali and the Poornawaad Parivar Mauritius, celebrated the Durga Pooja from 15th to 24th October 2023 at the Ram Prakash Mandir, Triolet.

Among the many Indian festivals, they were celebrated in Mauritius, such as Holi, Diwali, Maha Shivarari, Thaipoosum Cavadee, Ganesh Chaturthi, Ugadi, and Durga Pooja, also celebrated with much enthusiasm by the Hindu Community twice a year.

Poornawaad family and Mr Dev Teeluck, President of Nav Yuvak Mandali to celebrate the Pooja for nine days consecutively. The program consisted of Kirtan Bhajan daily, prayers, worship of nine little girls in the form of Mother Durga, distribution of gifts, and dinner as Mahaprasad.

Eminent Distinguished Guests and Speakers also highlighted the program on various topics related to Values, Education, the Form of Goddess Durga Maa with lessons to learn and the Concept of God in Hindu Tradition. The Hon. Minister of Employment and Labour, Hon. Soodesh Callychurn, and The Private Parliamentary Secretaries, Hon. Mrs Subhashnee Luchmun Roy and Hon. Sharvanand Ramkaun, graced the function with their presence.
