GOPIO-CT Raises Funds for Local Charities at its Annual Holiday Party

GOPIO-CT chapter organised a fundraiser at its Holiday Party to benefit the Connecticut Institute for Refugees and Immigrants (CIRI) over the weekend. It was one of the most successful Holiday Parties and fundraising for charities. With a full house and overflowing, the chapter raised $5,000, and the check was presented to CIRI President and CEO Susan Schnitzer. GOPIO-CT also presented checks to two other charities with similar amounts, Future 5 and Women’s Mentoring Network. These two later groups two have been supported by GOPIO-CT since 2016.

GOPIO-CT honoured Mrs recognised Board Member Prof. Sujata Gadkar-Wilcox for her appointment as a Commissioner of the Connecticut Human Rights Commission. GOPIO-CT also elected the new team for 2024.

After the ceremony, entertainment included games coordinated by Yashasvi

Jhangiani followed by Live Bollywood Music with singers coordinated by GOPIO-CT Dr Jaya Daptardar and compered by Sonali Gannu.
