With spring in Canada being notoriously unreliable when it comes to warm temperatures, an Ontario bride and groom chose a Carribean destination wedding to guarantee balmy nuptials for their April nuptial.

lliston residents Lindsay Reynolds and Chris Warrington planned a seaside ceremony followed by a beach party at The Jewel Runaway Bay Beach and Golf Resort in Jamaica. The celebration would start a week long beach vacation for the newlyweds and their 33 family members and friends who attended. “It took almost a year of looking at different resorts before I found The Jewel,” recalls Lindsay. “We liked that this resort was small enough to easily be able to find our friends and family. It also has a beautiful beach. Since we both love being by the water and wanted
to be married on the beach, that was a huge factor. We had always wanted to go to Jamaica. We chose April 17, 2016 because it had no other significance for us and we could make it our own special day.” Lindsay and Chris knew each other thorough mutual friends in high school, but didn’t date until they reconnected while working at a glass company in Alliston. Friendship led to dating, and dating led to an engagement. “Christopher is kind of a jokester,” said Lindsay. “He proposed to me with a key chain ring. I said, you’re kidding, right? He promised
