Awareness...

Awareness… making the quarter turn…seeing the world from a new perspective…

Have you ever noticed that once you are aware of something, you see it everywhere? Has someone pointed out a certain type of tree and now you notice it blooming in many areas? Have you taken notice recently of the new buds gently emerging on the trees and bushes? The light green hue across the rolling hills is always such a welcome sight as spring begins to open its eyes and come to life.

Do you recognize the call of certain birds? The Cardinal is music to my ears and peace to my soul each time my awareness is awakened to its call. Conversely, have you looked down at the ground as you walk? Have you ever found a heart shaped rock? Heart Rocks are a special find.

All of these instances open our awareness to the world around us. We hope you’ll join us for the Tree Hugger Trail Run and the dedication of our new Labyrinth on May 4th. Goodell Gardens offers many opportunities for contemplating nature and opening our awareness. Please join us for our many educational classes and events this season, including Thankful Thursdays as we expand awareness through gratitude in the garden. Let’s focus on helping children and adults see the world differently… to listen for the birds… to notice the clouds… to appreciate nature.

May each of us find time to ponder our surroundings and our natural environment, to feel the breath of Unity in our lives and to allow that peace to enfold us…

Come to the Garden… and find yourself…

Goodell Gardens & Homestead

Inside this issue:

Dear Friends,

We would be honored if you’d join us in celebrating 20 years of Goodell Gardens at the inaugural Dance for Plants. This garden party will take place in the beautifully-manicured Gardens and updated events complex at Goodell Gardens & Homestead. Featuring Millennium Sound DJ Services, this event will be the premiere dance of the season.

The event will include delicious food and drink from Mobile Mixers, Dawn’s Grazing Creations, Smoke ‘N Fire BBQ & John’s Wildwood Pizza, as well as the Unforgettable 360 Photo Booth, amazing music from our friends at Millennium Sound, lawn games, dancing, and so much fun to support Edinboro’s public garden, accredited arboretum and community gathering space.

Tickets are available now, and members receive a discount. Purchase your tickets today online at https://goodellgardens.org/dance .

Your attendance supports our mission of creating beautiful gardens and natural spaces where people can visit to Enjoy, Gather, Learn, and Refresh. All proceeds from The Dance for Plants help Goodell Gardens & Homestead continue to offer affordable programs, access to the Gardens, Trails, Labyrinth, and other amenities, and to continue to adapt the 80-acre former Goodell farm into an amazing community asset.

Want to support, but not able to make it? Consider becoming a sponsor. More information is available on our website: https://goodellgardens.org/dance-sponsorship , or reach out to Events Organizer Brit at brit@goodellgardens.org.

Goodell Gardens & Homestead is so grateful for the incredible support we see from our community, and we humbly ask that you consider being a part of making this beautiful night of dancing a success. We look forward to seeing you on the dance floor.
