2018 was the 130th year of Gonzaga Football. The season proved to be a historic one for the Eagles as the team captured the first WCAC Championship for Eye Street since 2002 in the most dramatic fashion conceivable. After falling behind 20-0 in the second quarter, the team scored 25 points in the 4th quarter to win 46-43. Sophomore QB Caleb Williams, WCAC and DC Gatorade Player of the Year, completed a 53-yard Hail Mary touchdown pass to senior WR John Marshall. Head Coach Randy Trivers was named the USA Today's National and Washington DC Coach of the Year in 2018. The team wrapped up the season ranked #1 in the area by The Washington Post for the first time in school history. Nationally, the Eagles finished ranked #13 by Catholic Athletes for Christ, #14 by High School Football America, #18 by USA Today, and #23 by Max Preps.
