NORTHENDEN

Northenden The club celebrated its centenary in 2013 and since its inception has undergone a variety of changes. However nothing could have prepared us for the events of October 19, 2014. In the early hours the clubhouse was totally destroyed by fire and with it went much of the club’s history.

With the support of the members and hard work by the staff a sense of partial normality returned within a matter of a few days. Temporary facilities were put in place and regular play recommenced. We are now looking to the future with renewed confidence. The Course A number of improvements have been made - New tee signage - Bunker definition - Buggy routes - Woodland management programme The condition of the course has prompted many plaudits with the greens in particular generating much positive comment. Clubhouse Facilities An excellent temporary clubhouse has been erected which seats up to 80 and has bar and catering facilities (Photo). Separate changing rooms with showers have also been installed.
