How to Find

Westport

From Galway take the N84. From Dublin take the M4 and M6 to Athlone. Continue on to Longford through Charlestown, Swinford, Castlebar and on to Westport. From Belfast take the road to Lisburn, onto Enniskillen and head for Sligo. From Sligo to Charlestown onto Castlebar and through to Westport.

Westport Golf Club, which played host to the 2002 Smurfit Irish P.G.A. Championship, is a magnificent 18 hole parkland course with breath taking views of Croagh Patrick and Clew Bay. Since arriving in Carrowholly back in 1973, Westport Golf Club have hosted a number Amateur Championships. The most recent was the 2009 Amateur Senior Gents Home Internationals.

Don’t go left! 18th, Par 5, ‘Gibleen’: The new feature hole at the Carrowholly course. A monster par 5 with water all up the right hand side culminating in another massive undulating green.
