R DELZIO SPORTS INTRODUCES HYBRID WALKING-RIDING GOLF TROLLEY

RDelzio Sports has launched the Golf Walk and Ride Trolley, a new product designed to offer golfers the flexibility to both walk and ride during their rounds. The trolley enables players to maintain the exercise benefits of walking while providing the option to ride when desired.

The device features twin custom hub motors with three maximum speed settings. Users can control the trolley using either a twist throttle or thumb throttle, and the system includes regenerative braking for smoother deceleration and extended battery life.

Built with a minimalist uni-frame design constructed from stainless steel, the trolley combines a sleek appearance with durability. According to the manufacturer, it can accommodate riders weighing up to 265 pounds.

For navigation, the Golf Walk and Ride Trolley is designed to make wide, gradual turns on the golf course. Turning is accomplished by lifting the front wheel and

directing it left or right. The company states that users can transition between walking and riding by simply attaching or detaching the rear axle from the trolley's upper frame.

Portability appears to be a key feature of the design. The trolley can be collapsed for transportation in a car trunk and reassembled on-site. The assembly process requires as few as two slide-in frame connections and can be completed in minutes.

The Golf Walk and Ride Trolley is manufactured in the USA and is currently available for purchase online through the company's website, GolfWalkandRide.com. The site also provides additional resources including product photos, videos, specifications, frequently asked questions, and user testimonials.

For more information, potential customers can contact Rob Delzio at rdelzio@golfwalkandride.com or by phone at 858-451-1755.

FOCUSED ON INNOVATION, ECO BATTERY IS REDEFINING WHAT’S POSSIBLE IN FACTORY-DIRECT OEM AND AFTERMARKET UPGRADED CARTS.

We’ve come a long way—and fast—from the lead acid days, with lithium taking the head of the food chain as the best way to power your golf cart. Eco Battery has been part of this new wave, partnering with the best new cart OEMs in the business and providing unmatched integration and install kits for those upgrading their current carts. At the heart of Eco Battery’s success is a commitment to collaboration. By listening closely to their new cart manufacturing partners, EB gains direct insight into the features, performance, and reliability they demand. This input shapes every stage of their design process—resulting in smarter, more powerful lithium solutions built for modern carts right off the production line.

But innovation doesn’t stop at the factory floor. Eco Battery also stays deeply connected to the aftermarket community, listening to what everyday users want—and need—from swapping out their power systems. Whether it’s longer range, faster charging, or performance gains, Eco Battery uses real-world feedback to guide how they build and refine every battery. With the newly released Gen3 battery, this new generation battery is raising the bar and powering the next generation of carts.

With customer input in hand, it was time for the rubber to hit the road. At that point, Eco Battery had a choice: settle for the best of what’s already out there, off-the-shelf components that define the industry standard for most competitor batteries—or go all in and build something entirely new from the ground up. EB chose the latter.

Rather than compromise, they assembled an elite team of engineers, product developers, and designers, all based in the USA, who were tasked with creating the solution not just for today, but for the future. Every component was hand-picked, and every line of code was written in-house to meet the high-

performance benchmarks they had set.

The result is the Eco Battery Gen3 BMS—a fully proprietary battery management system and the most advanced of its kind in the golf cart space. It redefines what’s possible in integration and communication, boosts charge and discharge rates to support high-output controllers, and delivers the performance, safety, and reliability today’s demanding carts require. With Gen3, Eco Battery didn’t just build a new BMS— they created a new foundation for years of ongoing innovation and next-level power.

With Gen3, Eco Battery didn’t just release a new product, they set a new benchmark. By combining customer-driven insights with clean-sheet engineering, the company created a smarter, stronger platform that raises the bar for what a lithium battery system can be. From its fully proprietary BMS to its seamless integration with today’s high-performance carts, Gen3 is more than an upgrade—it’s a glimpse into the future of power, built for the road ahead. The new Gen3 battery is available at Eco Battery dealers now, learn more and find your local dealer at www.ecobattery.com.

PERFORMANCE MEETS A CUSTOM GOLF CART MASTERPIECE

When it comes to pushing the boundaries of golf cart customization, few collaborations generate as much buzz as when industry leaders join forces. That's exactly what happened when Barry Hall and his team at Kart King partnered with MODZ to create a head-turning custom build that's been drawing crowds since its debut at the PGA Show in January.

"This cart has done the rounds," explains Landon Wisser, Chief Marketing Officer at MODZ, as we examine

their latest creation. "A lot of people saw it at the PGA Show. It certainly is a looker to say the least."

FOUNDATION OF EXCELLENCE

The build started with a 2011 Club Car Precedent fitted with an Onward body—providing a solid platform for the extensive customization work ahead. But what makes this cart truly special isn't just its foundation; it's the attention to detail and innovative components that

transform it into something extraordinary.

At the heart of the performance package sits Eco Battery's new Gen3 lithium battery, a 70.4 volt, 105amp hour powerhouse. "This is a quick cart. It definitely moves," Wisser notes with evident pride.

INNOVATIVE ENGINEERING MEETS LUXURY DESIGN

Perhaps the most striking feature is the cart's unique aesthetic inspired by high-end fashion. The custom wrap features a Louis Vuitton-style pattern that extends from the body to the roof, creating a cohesive luxury theme throughout the vehicle.

But the real centerpiece is in the seating. "The seats are awesome on this vehicle," Wisser explains. "These are our MODZ FS3 seats. These particular seats come in around a million possible variations! But this particular set features actual Louis Vuitton inlays we created from the owner's wife's purse."

The commitment to authenticity extends to every detail—even incorporating the actual handle from the handbag into the seat design. The rear features matching RCS3 custom rear cushions with a MODZ Flip 4 rear seat kit, all maintaining the luxury theme.

INDUSTRY-FIRST INNOVATIONS

What truly sets this build apart are the groundbreaking components making their debut. The cart rolls on 16-inch aftermarket wheels—the MODZ Reapers in a striking bronze finish that will be available for purchase

later this year.

"What's really exciting about this vehicle is we have the industry's first 16-inch aftermarket wheels," Wisser says. The larger wheel diameter creates a commanding presence while the bronze finish perfectly complements the overall color scheme.

CUTTING-EDGE COMPONENTS THROUGHOUT

The cart features a comprehensive 6-inch long travel lift kit by All Sports—one of the only truly Americanmade lift kits available. MODZ serves as the exclusive distributor for All Sports products, ensuring quality and availability for their dealer network.

Audio needs are handled by a SoundExtreme system featuring illuminated 5.25-inch speakers that provide both exceptional sound quality and visual appeal. The system is controlled through a SoundExtreme head unit integrated into the custom dashboard.

Perhaps most innovative is MODZ's new windshield technology. "This is our new windshield that will be available later this summer," Wisser explains. "This is a very unique piece. There's nothing quite like it in the industry."

REVOLUTIONARY WINDSHIELD TECHNOLOGY

Unlike traditional acrylic windshields, this new design uses hardened polycarbonate construction, making it extremely impact-resistant. The windshield features a patent-pending modular mounting platform designed to

accommodate various accessories including LED mounts, GoPro mounts, and side view mirrors.

"We've been working on this windshield for about two years now," Wisser notes. "It also features a specially designed channel that will divert water, if you're driving in the rain, away from the windshield so it won't fall into the cabin of the golf cart itself."

The magnetic closure system eliminates the rattles and squeaks that plague traditional windshields, addressing a common complaint among golf cart owners.

"We don't like to follow trends. We like to set them," Wisser explains. "Windshields haven't changed much over the last several decades. And so we wanted to do something different, something better."

ATTENTION TO DETAIL

Every component reflects thoughtful design decisions. The MODZ Barton steering wheel, manufactured in Italy, provides exceptional rigidity and features a racing-style flat bottom. A MODZ All-American clays basket on the front adds both functionality and bold visual appeal. Even the finishing touches showcase innovation.

MODZ Nerf bars feature removable plates that can be easily painted for custom accent colors, while the company's preference for textured matte black powder coating over traditional gloss creates a more modern, aggressive appearance.

SETTING INDUSTRY STANDARDS

This collaboration between Kart King and MODZ represents more than just a custom build—it's a showcase of what's possible when premier builders and innovative manufacturers work together. With MODZ's network of 1,500 authorized dealers across the country, these innovations will soon be available to enthusiasts nationwide.

The build demonstrates how golf cart customization continues to evolve, incorporating luxury materials, cutting-edge technology, and innovative engineering solutions that rival automotive industry standards.

From the authentic luxury materials to industry-first wheel sizes and revolutionary windshield technology, this cart proves that the golf cart industry continues to push boundaries and redefine what's possible on four wheels.

ONEPACK™ HP TROJAN BATTERY'S

If you can dream it, you can power it. That’s the idea behind Trojan Lithium’s OnePack™ High Performance (HP) battery, the newest member of Trojan’s OnePack family that is now available. As the world of golf cart modification and customization grows, Trojan is expanding the limits of what’s possible for golf cart enthusiasts by developing a trailblazing, high-amp battery.

OnePack High Performance is built for more power, a lot

more. Whether you want pure speed, acceleration, torque to climb big hills and ride off-road, or additional power for mods like high amp-draw sound systems and headlights, the goal with HP is to deliver the amperage that makes all that possible. It really starts with the maximum continuous discharge of 300 amps. In technical terms, that means the battery can deliver 300 amps consistently over the course of the cycle. In laymen’s terms, that means you get more power the whole

time you’re using the battery. Many competitive batteries in the high-power space require 72V systems and top out around 250 amps, significantly less than what this battery can deliver for a full cycle.

The other impressive spec with OnePack HP is its instantaneous discharge, which maxes out at 1000 amps. That's a measure of the battery’s maximum power delivery for 0.2 seconds, which is important to supply sudden bursts of power needed for acceleration and torque. Many high-performance batteries come in much closer to 600 maximum instantaneous amps.

“We wanted to create something for the true carting fans, the gearheads that like to push the limits of what a golf cart can be,” says Darren Brittain, Director of Portfolio Strategy at Trojan Battery. “You’re competitive by nature, so are we. We wanted to make the most powerful battery. 300 continuous amps is more power than you can find even in many 72V products. The thing will absolutely go.”

The 72-volt comparison is noteworthy for cart owners because 48 volts is both a safer and more compatible voltage. You can really push the power without needing to install components for a 72-volt system, which can save you money in the end.

“It’s still as easy to use as our other OnePacks,” continues Brittain. “It’s an extension of our OnePack line, so it has all the convenience and safety features of the original OnePack and OnePack Extended Range. That means easy installation, Bluetooth connectivity to measure battery life on your phone, an adapter to turn the battery on and off from inside the cart, and the ability to run it at a partial state of charge. It’s also built with contactors, which are one of the key components included in the battery. These allow the OnePack HP to handle the higher currents effortlessly.”

OnePack High Performance also checks in at 171 Ah, allowing it to carry passengers up to 75 miles per charge without sacrificing performance. That is significant compared to the average 48-volt pack that operates in the 45 to 60-mile range. As Brittain noted, the point of HP is to give carting enthusiasts and fanatics the power to do whatever they want. The range is another ceiling that it busts through.

“Some people are into speed. Some people are into modifications that have high power demands. Some people want to go on day trips. Golf carting is an increasingly creative place,” says Brittain. “This is really about opening that up, raising the limits of power so you can push your cart further.”

The OnePack family, now three strong, features the original OnePack, the OnePack Extended Range (XR), and the newly minted OnePack High Performance (HP). The line is Trojan’s solution to meet the golf cart industry's diversifying needs.

OnePack™

• The original OnePack is designed primarily for golf and typical commuting needs. It offers a 60-mile average range, a maximum continuous discharge of 180 amps, and a maximum instantaneous discharge of 500 amps (2.0 seconds).

OnePack™ Extended Range:

• The OnePack XR is designed for use in larger, low-speed electrical vehicle communities. It has an average range of 75 miles, a maximum continuous discharge of 200 amps, and a maximum instantaneous discharge of 525 amps (2.0 seconds).

OnePack™ High Performance

• The OnePack HP is designed for golf carts that demand high

golfcartcompany

power draws, like modified golf carts and larger 10-12 person carts. It also has an average range of 75 miles but offers a maximum continuous discharge of 300 amps and a maximum instantaneous discharge of 1000 amps (0.2 seconds) and 750 amps (2.0 seconds).

“We want to meet and exceed the needs of the golf cart industry,” concludes Brittain. “The OnePack family is designed to be a top-shelf lithium solution for an industry that continues to trend toward Lithium power. HP is a big piece of that as it addresses a growing part of the carting industry.”

The OnePack family comes from a tremendous lineage. Trojan Battery Company was founded in 1925, exactly 100 years ago, and it’s been the market leader in lead batteries ever since. Trojan built the first golf cart battery in 1954, and the name is ubiquitous throughout the history of the golf

cart. 71 years of powering the industry have led Trojan to this limit-pushing 48-volt battery that is designed, tested, and undergoes final processing in the U.S. for complete quality control from start to finish.

“The Trojan Lithium OnePack™ HP is rewriting the rules of what can be achieved with a golf cart. Our newest addition to the OnePack family embodies a century of market leadership and innovation. It offers more power for more speed and torque, and enables more aftermarket modifications and additions, all at a safer 48V,” said Laurie Oswald, Chief Commercial Officer of Trojan Battery. “HP is our most powerful battery ever and is a market-changing solution.”

OWNER: Ryan from Chesapeake, Virginia.

YEAR/MAKE/MODEL: It’s a 2014 Club Car Precedent.

HEY RYAN, TELL US ABOUT THIS CUSTOM BUILD.

I bought the cart cheap, stripped it down to the frame, and rebuilt it from the ground up. The frame is custom-painted with a green sparkle finish. I went with an Alpha body, painted using Tropical Glitz Interstellar Pearl White. All the metal parts were powder-coated Shocker Yellow over Alien Silver. It really pops in the sun.

ANY CUSTOM FABRICATION OR ONE-OFF PARTS?

Definitely. The roof is a fully custom piece that includes integrated audio and lighting. The bag well area was also customized to house a subwoofer and amp. I also added custom wheel ring lights for extra flair.

WHAT AFTERMARKET PARTS DID YOU USE?

I used a mix of brands: Modz seats and wheels, a GTW lift kit, Lazy Life rear armrests, a Plum Quick motor, and audio components from Rockville, Kicker, and Skar. I also sourced parts from GCM and Golf Cart King.

TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOURSELF. HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN BUILDING CARTS AND HOW DID YOU GET INTO IT?

I've been building carts for about four years now. It started out as just a hobby, something fun to do on the side.

WHAT ARE YOUR FUTURE PLANS?

Eventually, I’d love to open a custom golf cart shop. For now, I’m still running my HVAC business, but building carts is definitely a passion I want to grow.

LAGUNA WOODS

CALIFORNIA'S PREMIER GOLF CART HAVEN

Continuing our exploration of America's most golf cart-friendly communities, we venture to Laguna Woods, California - where scenic mountain views meet innovative transportation solutions for active seniors.

Nestled in the rolling hills of Orange County, California, Laguna Woods represents a different approach to golf cart community living. Founded in 1999 as a city specifically designed to support the mobility needs of its residents, this unique community has created an environment where golf carts aren't just welcome—they're essential to the lifestyle.

ENGINEERING FOR INDEPENDENCE: INFRASTRUCTURE BY DESIGN

What sets Laguna Woods apart is its commitment to accessibility and safety through thoughtful engineering:

• Over 1,600 registered golf carts serving the community

• 11-foot-wide designated paths for enhanced safety

• Wider crosswalks specifically designed for golf cart navigation

• Strategic crossing points that separate golf cart traffic from vehicle traffic

• Population of approximately 18,600 residents in a

2,100-acre area

• Comprehensive network connecting residential areas to essential services

"Laguna Woods has continuously experienced golf cart path expansion to accommodate extended golf cart travel," notes city documentation. "Unlike many communities where golf carts and vehicles must coexist on the street, Laguna Woods has provided dedicated infrastructure that makes drivers feel safer and more welcome."

MORE THAN TRANSPORTATION: A LIFESTYLE CHOICE

In Laguna Woods, golf carts serve multiple roles that extend far beyond their original purpose. Residents rely on these vehicles for grocery shopping, medical appointments, social visits, and participation in the community's extensive recreational activities.

The community's approach recognizes that for many residents, golf carts offer a convenient and energyefficient alternative to larger vehicles, especially for short-distance travel within the community. This practical consideration has shaped development patterns and infrastructure investments throughout Laguna Woods. COMPREHENSIVE RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

While Laguna Woods embraces golf cart transportation, the community offers diverse amenities that cater to active senior living:

• Two professional golf courses with driving range and practice putting greens

• Over 200 clubs and special interest groups

• Multiple recreation and fitness centers

• Aquatics facilities including heated pools

• Tennis and pickleball courts

• Equestrian center with facilities for horse enthusiasts

• Arts and crafts centers supporting creative pursuits

The city's recreational calendar includes regular concerts, art shows, educational seminars, and social events—all easily accessible via the golf cart path network.

SAFETY THROUGH SEPARATION

Perhaps Laguna Woods' most innovative feature is its comprehensive approach to traffic separation. Rather than forcing golf carts to share space with traditional vehicles, the community has invested in dedicated infrastructure that prioritizes safety.

The city's designated crossings allow golf cart users to traverse major roads safely, while the separated path system ensures that slower-moving vehicles don't impede traffic flow. This approach has created a model that other communities are beginning to study and emulate.

"Golf carts offer a convenient and energy-efficient way to get around the community, especially for residents who may prefer not to drive larger vehicles," community documentation explains. The infrastructure supports this choice with practical solutions.

REGULATORY FRAMEWORK THAT WORKS

Laguna Woods has developed clear guidelines that balance freedom with safety. Golf carts operate under specific regulations that designate where they can travel, ensuring both resident safety and efficient traffic flow throughout the community.

The city maintains detailed maps showing approved paths and crossings, providing residents with clear guidance on navigation while preserving the flexibility that makes golf cart transportation appealing.

A GROWING TREND IN SENIOR LIVING

The success of Laguna Woods reflects broader demographic trends as communities across America seek alternatives to traditional vehicledependent development patterns. The city's focus on accessibility, safety, and convenience has created a template that addresses real mobility needs while maintaining quality of life.

As the community continues to evolve, the commitment to golf cart accessibility remains central to planning decisions, ensuring that new developments and infrastructure improvements support this unique transportation culture.

In Laguna Woods, golf carts represent more than convenient transportation—they embody a philosophy of community design that prioritizes independence, safety, and connection for residents seeking an active lifestyle in their golden years.

ASK THE MECHANIC

Q: My electric golf cart isn't moving, but I hear a click when I press the accelerator. What's a common first step in diagnosing this issue?

A: The "click" often indicates that the solenoid is engaging, which is a good sign. A common first step in diagnosing a nogo situation for an electric cart (assuming a charged battery) is to check the F&R (forward/reverse) switch and its connections. Ensure it's fully engaged in either forward or reverse, and that the cables aren't loose or corroded. Also, check the main fuse and the controller's connections for any obvious issues.

Q: The batteries in my electric golf cart seem to be losing charge quickly, even after a full overnight charge. What are some potential reasons for this rapid discharge, and how can I start to troubleshoot it?

A: Rapid battery discharge after a full charge can indicate several problems. Some potential reasons include:

Aging/Failing Batteries: Batteries have a lifespan, and older batteries lose their ability to hold a charge efficiently.

Under-Inflated Tires: Low tire pressure creates more rolling resistance, making the motor work harder and drawing more power.

Excessive Load: Carrying too much weight or driving consistently uphill can drain batteries faster.

malfunction.

Parasitic Draw: Something on the cart (e.g., a faulty accessory, a short in the wiring) could be drawing power even when the cart is off.

To troubleshoot, first check tire pressure. Then, inspect each battery individually with a hydrometer for specific gravity or a multimeter for voltage to identify any weak cells. Also, ensure your charger is working correctly and consider disconnecting accessories one by one to check for parasitic draws.

Q: My gas golf cart cranks but won't start. What are the most likely culprits I should investigate?

A: If your gas golf cart cranks but doesn't start, the three most likely culprits to investigate are:

Fuel System: Check for fuel in the tank, a clogged fuel filter, a faulty fuel pump, or a gummed-up carburetor.

Ignition System: Inspect the spark plug for fouling or damage, and check for a strong spark by removing the plug, grounding it, and cranking the engine. Also, consider issues with the ignition coil or ignitor.

Air Intake: Ensure the air filter isn't completely clogged, restricting airflow.

Charger Issues: The charger itself might not be fully charging the batteries due to a
