MEET RZMRY RZMRY (pronounced Rosemary!) is a singer , multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from Connecticut. She is not your ordinary pop singer, she uses her unique vocals to add emotion and experience to every song she writes. I got to chat with her on her Debut EP and her blog relaunching 2017 entitled "The Fitter blonde'.

FEATURED

Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is know when it’s time to let something go. On Her Newly Released EP, "GLD" GLD the song was inspired by a need to find confidence when felt like I had none. So I narrowed my eyes and wrote myself some. GLD, the EP, is a compilation of my experiences over the past few years. What made you want to move to Los Angeles and how do you like it? I don’t know if I should be taking advice from my high school self, but that’s what I did. My plan was always to go to New York for college and then move to Los Angeles. So I did it. I’m lucky that my manager and publicist are here because ultimately having that is what made me feel comfortable with taking that leap of faith. Truthfully, I love New York. I wanted to stay. But sometimes you have to step outside of your comfort zone and do something you’ll regret not doing later. Does that make sense? I’ve really enjoyed it so far. When the sun’s out, I’m out, so LA is really doing it for me. Gold Crwn | Meet RZMRY

MEET RZMRY

Sometimes you have to step outside of your comfort zone " "

When did you get your first guitar and how did you learn to play? I was 10. I had seen Freaky Friday more times than any person should see Freaky Friday so I asked for a red and black electric guitar for my birthday. My mom was not having the “I’ll teach myself” bull crap I was spewing and made me take lessons. Smart woman, that one, because it would have collected dust had she not pushed me to continue pursuing it.

GOLD CRWN | MEET RZMRY How many instruments do you actually play? Three, but if you let me count my voice as an instrument, then it’s four and four sounds so much more impressive than three. How do you deal with self doubt when writing or recording a song? I don’t experience much self doubt when writing just because I write to write. If it’s crap in the end, I’ll scrap it, but usually it needs to come out in one way or another and for me, writing it is the healthiest way I can do that. Recording wise, there’s unfortunately not a lot I can do when it comes to self doubt. The times I’ve had self doubt in a song I was recording, I either have to re-record, or just take a deep breath and let it go. Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is know when it’s time to let something go. If I doubt it, it’s usually a sign that I’m trying to make something great out of something that just isn’t.

What is The Fitter Blonde and when will that project be relaunched? You have done your research, I’m impressed! The Fitter Blonde is a project I started while I was in college, but didn't have time to flesh out like I wanted to. The Fitter Blonde is a health and wellness website I started as a place to exude my interest in nutrition. The idea behind it was to have an interactive, positive environment to explore fitness of the mind, body and soul and promote living your best life. I didn’t start it because I’m the epitome of health and wellness, but because I’m passionate about it and feel like the outlets we have right now feel so unattainable. Being in a sorority in college meant I knew many women of different shapes and sizes who would see fitness outlets and think, "I’ll never be like this person.” That got me thinking: I’m normal, I’m not perfect all of the time, but I love this; I could be the person who says balance is real and that it’s okay to fall short of the impossible standards we set for ourselves. The positive response I received was overwhelming. I miss it a lot and plan to relaunch in the beginning of 2017!

Domenico is an 18 year old R&B singer and multi-instrumentalist who has already caught the eye of some major hitters and haven't even released an album yet! Not to mention his own production company and getting a spot on a Spotify playlist, Domenico is a force that is coming for that Top R&B Spot. What do you want fans to take The Morris Code was a new experience for me It was very important to remain honest while showing off my versatility as a away from Morris Code? producer The concept was very simple record an album in a "

classroom. I was desperate for inspiration, and turned to the place I was forced to spend six hours a day to create some dope music. Therefore, the music and lyrics are laced with "coming of age" vibes, all from the scope of an introspective high schooler from Morristown (pun intended) New Jersey. Looking back, "The Morris Code" is a journey of self discovery as an artist, producer, and person as a whole. No matter your age, I think everyone can relate to the story of love, confusion, and frustration.

What made you write a song like ultralight?

My "Ultralight Beams x Confessions" cover was a crazy attempt at conjoining two of my biggest sonic inspirations. These industry icons need no introduction, KANYE WEST and USHER. This venture was driven by a fear of failure. I would have been insanely embarrassed to put my name on something wack, especially if it was associated with reinventing these two titans. So, I pressured myself... looking back maybe even a little too much, to deliver something unique that really reinvented the songs. I barely slept for a few weeks and cranked out a live video performing the track after finishing it. Life is about taking risks and challenging yourself. I'm glad that I took on such an ambitious record, especially since it just hit 200,000 streams on Spotify ÂŻ YOUTH MAGAZINE

What inspired loose ends?

Honestly, my biggest source of inspiration for creating music is... well... other successful records. I'm the first to admit it! Ask any other producer and they'll tell you otherwise. I created "Loose Ends" out of jealousy of Bryson Tiller's debut album. The competitor inside of me dared to tackle a track that compares to "Don't" or "Exchange." I searched through some old songs I made in middle school and came across a song called "Hold U Forever," which I flipped into a chipmunk soul sample on top of 808 drums. Yep, I sampled myself. Lyrical inspiration wasn't that hard to find since, as an eighteen year old, I was surrounded by last minute hook ups and fake friendships. Thus, my debut single was born.

What made you want to sing and play multi instruments live?

I'm a total music nerd, and there's nothing more I enjoy than ripping the status quo to shreds. If you have your shit together as a musician, its easy to create within any genre. I love to push boundaries, and have developed the confidence to manipulate the golden standards of songwriting in order to break rules and innovate. It's fun for me, especially, when it comes to live performance. People told me I can't do a one-man show because it would be too hard, too boring for the audience, etc. So, that's my goal for the future: create an insanely entertaining show with me generating all the sounds you hear on the stage. I may need a good lighting guy though...

Where did you learn to drum and keyboard?

Tell me about how you started your own label and what makes it different from other labels?

IMy father is a drummer, so he taught me the basics. I'm thankful for learning that instrument first because then rhythm thing came naturally when I picked up a guitar or sat down at the piano. I took guitar lessons from second grade up until high school. Improvising on guitar is the best way to convey emotion other than singing your ass off. I learned piano based off the music theory knowledge I obtained through guitar lessons. I still practice to this day. I never stop learning. My production company, il Dottore, spans beyond music into other aspects of pop culture. Most recently, I debuted a line of jewelry available exclusively through the company website. It's a great break from working on production 24/7, and allows me to be creative with other mediums. I knew nothing about jewelry when presented with the opportunity to design some stuff. I put my mind to it, drew designs in the back of my notebook, and boom: I got bracelets for sale online. Who knows what the future holds. Challenge me; I love it!

Follow Domenico @DomenicoSounds YOUTH MAGAZINE

What do you have planned for this year?

I want to debut my live show in New York City. In the words of Sinatra, "If I can make it there, I can make it anywhere." People forget he's from Hoboken, New Jersey. On top of that, I got some awesome collaborative projects in the works including a weekly live stream of my new web-series “Noise Complaints." My goal is to hit 1,000,000 streams on Spotify by Christmas and tour by the Summer of ’17. I’m sure by the time next week rolls around, I’ll have 15 other things that I’ll be stacking on my “goal” list.

What keeps you going?

I'm very fortunate to have grown up in a supportive environment which encouraged me to pursue my passion. Not everybody has that opportunity. Public school systems fail to engage students in their fields of interest, and rather teach a cookie-cutter standard that has outdated morals. What if we concretely taught students to push themselves and create real world initiatives while still in school? I did it with "The Morris Code," and it was the most fulfilled I felt throughout my time in high school. This experience inspired me to create "Real World Academy," an education nonprofit that advocates for programs that put passion back in the classroom. I talked about this a lot in my TedTalk and since that aired, the company has been growing exponentially. This initiative will allow me to inspire kids through music and education. That's all I've ever wanted.

Who is your favorite dj/producer to work with so far?

My long time friends, the Disco Fries, have always been a source of inspiration to work harder. We share a common ground as Jersey boys who rose to the top by virtue of an insane work ethic. When we link up, the competitive drive kicks in and we try to outdo each other. That approach always leads to a dope product, which is why our records tend to go places. I also just enrolled in the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU. My peers in the program are some of the most creative and inspiring people I've ever met. Their positive energy fuels me to take advantage of all opportunities to collab and create and in a city like New York, it is impossible not to feel inspired. I got some new tracks with these guys under wraps that will surely do some damage.

Back in 2014, Tiffany had just dropped her single "17 Again" and graced our summer cover. She spoke about missing prom for nashville and how her music career came about. She is now back on our covers for the SECOND time and we can't be more excited! Read as she talks about her new phase, being independent, her album and more.

On her break from music: I like to compare it to a phase during metamorphosis, called instar. To the outside of the cocoon, it looks like nothing is happening. But in reality, it’s all happening. The butterfly is rebuilding the exoskeleton of it’s wings so that it will be able to fly. I never took a break from music, I’ve just been rebuilding. It’s taken a long time to get my art where I wanted it to be, but I feel confident in saying that the wings are strong, and we’re all in for a beautiful flight. What she learned: I was recently asked this question, I’d have to say the biggest thing I learned was that I’ll never find my self-worth in all of this. I won’t find it in my career success, my appearance, my relationship-status, the producer I’m working with, where I am on the charts, or even in my art. The only place find true peace, self-esteem, and lasting joy is in my relationship with my Heavenly Father. When that relationship is strong, everything else falls into place, almost effortlessly.

"Stay strong and believe in yourself. Believe in the saying “what doesn't kill you makes you stronger!!" On Being Independent: I am. I wanted to have the most undeniable foundation already in place by the time I signed with a major. I knew that if I wanted to be a priority, I needed to first make myself something worthy of being a priority, even up against multiplatinum selling artists. Luckily all of the leg work I’ve done thus far with my little team; radio, touring, music, relationships, etc, is what’s making me a priority to the labels now. It’s exciting. Delayed gratification. On Knowing #IGLY Was THE Song: I know a song is really something special when it’s conquering my sleep. I couldn't sleep for weeks after we wrote it. I don’t know if nervous is the right word. I’m excited, and that gives me butterflies. I think this is a song a lot of people are going to love. I know I do.

On The Video Concept: I love the 60’s. Swinging London, Twiggy, Mod squad style...I have always loved that look and definitely felt like this was the perfect place to explore it. I had just gone on a first date. It was winter in New York City, and that is just magic in and of itself. I started writing the lyrics in the elevator before I even made it back to my hotel room. This song is the craziness and delusion and lonely excitement that is jumping off the cliff before you know if anyone’s gonna catch you or not. But knowing whatever it is, it’s worth the risk.

On #TeamTiff Being There For The Release: They have no idea how much their excitement fuels me. I am who I am today because their belief in me, and I just don’t have the heart to let them down.

Her Advice To Fans About Relationships: The relationship you have with yourself sets the bar for every other relationship in your life. Treat yourself well, pursue your dreams, focus on you, so much so that when the right person comes along, you’ve given yourself & your dreams so much love and attention, that you have SOOOO much to give.

From Tiffany to you: Life has little meaning to it unless you are serving others. Happiness is truly found as you fill others with happiness. Be a good friend. Help others reach their goals, and in the process, you will reach yours.

What other dreams do you have that you wanna purse? I would love to write a book. I love reading, and I already write so much. Maybe someone could get something from my Describing her sound , now in a different place in life story. hrt life: I don’t like describing music. It’s very hard for me to express something that is already an 'Life has little meaning to it unless you are expression. The art speaks for itself. It seems very serving others. Happiness is truly found as you redundant to me. But for those who disagree I’d say fill others with happiness. Be a good friend. Help my simple answer is this; As an artist, you’re, in many others reach their goals, and in the process, you ways, a product of your intake. I grew up LOVING the will reach yours." powerhouse women. I loved the unapologetic story tellers. Vanessa Carlton, Shania Twain, Avril Lavigne, How do you deal with bullying since you are in Faith Hill, onto Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, and Sara the public eye?? I’ve come to believe that as Bareilles. So mix all those together.. and I’d say we focus on the good, we have the energy to fix the bad. I don’t believe any of this is my work somewhere you find Tiffany Houghton. anyway. My mission on this earth in my career Tiffany also revealed that you can expect her album is far greater than me. The praise isn’t mine, and neither is the criticism. So it doesn’t really hurt. during the spring of 2017! My self worth is only in my Heavenly Father’s Radio Disney playing Tiffanies New Single: Gosh I’m opinion of me, so when others opinions aren't so grateful for Radio Disney. Their support has been favorable it doesn’t hurt so much. Also long as I incredible! I absolutely love & respect everyone over am right with God, I’m alright. there. My favorite thing about hearing myself on the radio? hmm. I’m just so grateful and proud of everyone Body shamming is a big issue in young girls. on my my team, especially all my friends all over the How do you feel about magazines that world that I love so much. They are truly the reason photoshop young girls in their magazines? for every single spin. I can’t hear my song on the radio I just want the magazines to have some section in their magazine that tells the truth. Like I get without just thinking of them the entire time. they are selling a product but I wish they could On Her Love Life: It’s wonderful! Right now I’m not educate the girls and tell them, “this is what concerned with finding the person, I’m concerned with this pic really looked like before we changed it being the person. I know he’s out there, but I’m pretty in order to sell our magazine.” I just think education is key. focused on becoming my best self at this point.!

RAYE

GOLD CRWN MAGAZINE

lifestyle blog TIPS FROM RAYE

How did Gold Crwn start?

Don't be afraid to be differnt

It was PGAB at first. I wanted to create something that was different and positive. It's hard to find a magazine that does not gossip about others. That's apart of bullying. Gossip and rumors. It makes people feel bad and honestly most fans don't care about reading that stuff. .Gold Crwn was born out of my own experiences and wanting to do good in the world.

Being you is the definition of being different because you are the only version of yourself. Anything new is challenging because its new so don't be afraid to change things up sometimes. You should feel good about whatever you do. If you don't then you wont be happy and we can't have that.

How do you overcome doubt?

I am one of those people who always second guest herself with everything. That's why I can't take test because I always go back and change all the awnsers and then end up failing. It's a mental thing really. We as girls feel so much pressure to be perfect that we second guess everything but not because we don't like it but because we think others wont and you just have to not care and focus on what you like and if it feels right to you.

Fashion is temporary, style is forever" "
