TOWN OF EASTON

2024-2025 Employee Yearbook

Enjoy...
The second edition of the Town of Easton Employee Yearbook. It’s amazing to be able to look back and see how much has changed over this past year, and to know that each of you had a major part to play in the tremendous progress we made in 2024.
While some of us work at separate buildings, in different parts of town, or on different shifts, we are all contributing to the same cause. I hope that even if you don’t cross paths with all your fellow coworkers, this yearbook will be a valuable asset for you to recognize a face from an email interaction, or to place someone from a department you may rarely encounter.

So please take a look through and explore these pages, marveling at how similar, and different, we all can be. Even with just a small photo and a few questions, you’ll be able to see the brightness of your coworkers personalities shining through. To see more, be sure to click on the month of the year to visit its corresponding newsletter for each month.
Lastly, I want to personally thank each of you for your contributions to our Town, both as an organization and as a place where so many people enjoy to live, raise their families, work at, and visit. I’m so proud of the work we have accomplished together, and can’t wait to see what we can get done in 2025. It will be a joy to watch it all unfold, one day at a time.

Mayor Megan Cook

Staff,
Following a discussion in one of our 2024 leadership training sessions, it became clear that the Town was missing a critical piece of guidance for us to take things to the next level: A Vision Statement.
Created by collecting staff input and workshopping with Town leadership, the new Town of Easton Vision Statement represents a collective goal that we can all work together to achieve.
Vision statements are meant to be aspirational, and to give an organization something to strive towards in unison. Being “the best place to live and work on Maryland’s Eastern Shore” is aspirational, but it’s also something we can, and arguably do, achieve. Our day-today work, and what we bring to the table in each of our roles should always aim to hit this mark. If we are all giving our best, then our Town will reflect that in kind.
We also took this opportunity to update the Mission Statement and Core Values. Please take the time to read each of these, internalize them, and interpret what they mean to you and your role with the Town.
Much like the Vision Statement, the Mission Statement and Core Values will help each employee understand who we are as an organization, and where our priorities lie in regards to service to the Town. Whatever your role here is, our responsibilies are fundamentally the same: Provide Services to the Town, keep our residents, visitors, and employees Safe, and to work and function with high moral Character.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to contrubute to the creation of these new directives. We hope that they help to instill, and inspire the direction we need to (continue to) be the best!
