Visitors will have the opportunity to step back in time to experience Native American food, Cherokee arts and crafts demonstrations, music, and dance. A blacksmith will be doing on-site demonstrations in the shop both days. Other demonstrations and displays will include Cherokee life in 1700’s and a Civil War encampment doing living history demonstrations. There will be infantry, cannon and calvary demonstrations throughout the day.

Be sure to arrive in time to check out the gift shop in the Great Smoky Mountain Heritage Center, shop opens at 10:00am. The scenic driving tour through the Cades Cove Loop takes approximately two to four hours depending on traffic. Because it’s a single-lane road, be prepared to stop frequently, the slow pace makes it easy to enjoy the amazing mountain landscapes, wildflowers are meadows and diverse wildlife. “We had a large party for a breakfast - 9 people and one of them was a toddler. We arrived minutes after they opened and we’re seated as soon as our entire party had arrived. The entire menu looked amazing and everything we ordered was SO GOOD. Disclaimer: the bakery cinnamon roll will induce diabetes upon first glance. But it’s worth it. The cinnamon roll is size of those island, so I’d recommend sharing this delectable morsel. All of the portions are generous and made from high quality ingredients. This isn’t your average stop at a cracker barrel. This is old school country cooking on crack.”

A Brand Alliance That Outran a T-Rex. Jeep and the Jurassic Park/World franchise began their epic partnership back in the summer of 1993 when a 1992 Jeep Wrangler YJ Sahara carried Dr. Ian Malcolm into dinosaur mayhem.
