ANGEL AWARDS EVENT RECAP
Vegas Inc celebrated Las Vegas’ most philanthropic leaders and businesses at the 15th annual Angel Awards on Thursday, Sept. 22 at Palms Casino Resort . Presented by City National Bank and sponsored by Bailey Kennedy Attorneys at Law , three individuals and four businesses were honored for their monumental impact within Southern Nevada’s charitable landscape. Honorees were also featured in the Vegas Inc Giving Guide publication, which also includes a comprehensive nonprofit directory.
During the event, honorees and guests enjoyed complimentary cocktails provided by Tito’s Handmade Vodka , courtesy of Breakthru Beverage and Backbar USA , along with light bites provided by Palms Casino Resort. Attendees mixed and mingled while connecting with several local nonprofit organizations to learn about the work they are doing in the community, and how to get involved. The nonprofits at the event included Nathan Adelson Hospice, Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada, Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada, and many more.
Serafin Calvo , Community Services and Engagement Director for the City of North Las Vegas, and the winner of the 2021 Volunteer of the Year Award, hosted the awards program, giving a congratulatory speech to this year’s class of winners. Honorees were given their certificate and exclusive gifts courtesy of City National Bank and Mothership Coffee Roasters . Attendees memorialized the evening with photos and boomerangs at Desert Cactus Booth’s photo booth.
