SOUTHERN NEVADA HOSPITALS CONTINUE TO EXPAND TO MEET THE NEEDS OF A GROWING COMMUNITY With the Southern Nevada economy slowly improving and new commercial construction projects on the rise, it’s great to see so much expansion at existing hospital locations, as well as construction of several new medical facilities. To date, more than five major hospital projects have either commenced construction or are in the final planning stages.

With a tax-friendly state, low housing costs and a location convenient to the rest of the West, the Las Vegas Valley is wellpositioned for future growth and opportunities, and it continues to be a haven for relocating retirees. With this growth comes a need for specialized healthcare facilities.

St. Rose Dominican Hospital’s Siena Campus in Henderson is adding a new tower that will approximately double the number of rooms and increase the medical services it offers. Valley Health Systems is planning to open Henderson Hospital in late 2016, with 142 hospital beds and a full range of medical services.
