(A Midsummer Night's Dream)
Take a walk through the beautiful Forest of Dean and engage in an art workshop with Canopy after the walk. Connect with the local landscape and creatively respond to nature through written notes, poems, photographs, sketches, mark making, rubbings or simply ‘being in the moment’. to create a play in just 9 hours.

This June, in honour of Pride Month, attend one of 6 creative workshops across the county where you’ll work collaboratively with inter-disciplinary artists to produce a piece of artwork (representing one of the colours of the LGBTQ+ flag) that encapsulates themes of love, queerness, self-expression, identity and experiences of the LGBTQ+ community.
All artworks will be united at the end for a special exhibition (more details to come soon).
Pride Workshops for Kids
Active Poetry with children's Poet Juli Frances Taylor is a fun, energetic and loud session based around words and rhymes.

Learn to make your own 3D models in TinkerCAD in this workshop. We'll learn how to use TinkerCAD by trying to model our favourite animals, before having a go at solving a practical problem by creating a 3D model.

Let’s re-skin some games with our own art! Using a lot of art and a little code and programs like Piskel and GDevelop5, we’ll be creating animations that we can put into an almost complete game template that we can share with everyone!

This crash course in Blender will take you through key skills, enabling you to continue to develop skills for yourself. These workshops are meant for adults, but if you have a teen who is particularly interested, please get in touch.
Week 1 - 12 April, 18:00 – 18:45
Navigating the workspace. Add mesh objects, move, scale, rotate and join them to build basic shapes. Use modifiers to create effects and save time when modelling repeating shapes.
Week 2 - 19 April, 18:00 – 18:45
Editing. Learn how to manipulate vertices, edges and faces. Extrude, bevel and add loop cuts to create almost any shape and pick up a cheat sheet of keyboard shortcuts to speed up your workflow.
Week 3 - 26 April, 18:00 – 18:45
Sculpting. Take a basic shape into the sculpting workspace and learn how to re-mesh objects for detailed sculpting, mirror your effects, isolate certain parts of a mesh and how proportional editing works.
Week 4 - 3 May, 18:00 – 18:45
Texturing and UV unwrapping. We'll look at materials and textures in Blender. Unwrap and seam your model so that your texture fits properly. We'll also briefly cover lighting and how to preview your scene.
Tickets: £20 each. Each ticket covers the cost of all 4 sessions. Booking is essential.

In this 2 part workshop you will learn how to use inkscape to create vector designs.
Week 1 - 7 June, 17:30 – 18:30
Create basic designs and look at how to join shapes and paths to create different effects, and chose a card design to start working on. This could be a business card, accordion style greetings card or a decorative piece.
Week 2 - 14 June, 17:30 – 18:30
Continue working on your card design and set up the paths to be cut or scored on the cricut or xtool cutting machine. This session will include making your cards, so you have something to take home.
