Dear Unbreakables! gloryfy unbreakable ist Technik.

Vom ersten Gedanken an, seit dem wir uns mit dem Projekt „unzerbrechliche Brille“ beschäftigten, stehen Entwicklung und Forschung bis heute an erster Stelle. Unbreakable bedeutet aber auch noch mehr, es ist eine Lebenseinstellung.

Unsere Sportler und Botschafter beweisen dies durch ihr tägliches Handeln, nämlich dann, wenn aus Scheitern ein Wiederaufstehen, aus Rückschlägen ein Zurückkommen und aus Ausweglosigkeit wieder Hoffnung wird. Besonders stolz bin ich, dass wir 2015 eine Kooperation mit dem Life Ball haben. Eine kleine Kollektion, deren Reinerlös zu 100% an die Stiftung AIDS LIFE geht, soll helfen, den Kampf gegen AIDS positiv zu unterstützen - ganz nach dem Motto: Fighting Aids and Celebrating Life.

From the initial concept onwards, since we started working on the „unbreakable glasses“ project, research and development have been our main priority to this day.

However, unbreakable means even more: It is an attitude towards life. Our sportsmen and women as well as our ambassadors demonstrate this through their daily actions, namely when they rise again after failing, when they come back after setbacks and when hopeless situations turn to hope again. I am particularly proud that we are cooperating with the Life Ball in 2015. A small collection, all of the net proceeds of which will go to the AIDS LIFE foundation, is to help support the fight against AIDS in a positive manner – fully in accordance with the motto: Fighting Aids and Celebrating Life.

C.E.: Hallo Gery, es freut uns sehr Partner des Life Ball 2015 zu sein! Wie kam es zu dem heurigen Thema „Gold“?

Gery Keszler: Wir lehnen uns 2015 thematisch an Wien um 1900 an, eine revolutionäre Zeit des Aufbruchs, geprägt von willensstarken und schaffenslustigen Künstlern aller Sparten, allen voran die Wiener Secessionisten. Aufbruchsstimmung, Lebendigkeit und Aktivität in jedem Einzelnen wecken - das möchte auch der Life Ball. Gold ist der kreative Leitfaden, das Motto ist aber „VER SACRUM | SANTA PRIMAVERA | SACRE DU PRINTEMPS“. Das aus dem antiken Rom stammende Frühlingsfest Ver Sacrum diente den Wiener Secessionisten als Inspiration und war auch Vorbild für Igor Strawinskys „Sacre du Printemps“. Wie damals die Secessionisten, steht der Life Ball für das Streben nach Veränderung, Erneuerung und Verbesserung, nur in ein anderes Jahrtausend transferiert. So schließt sich die Klammer zum Life Ball.

C.E.: Wann findet der Ball heuer statt und was sind die Ziele die ihr euch setzt?

Gery Keszler: Der nächste Life Ball findet am 16.

Mai 2015 statt. Er soll, wie auch in den 22 Jahren davor, höchstmögliche Aufmerksamkeit auf die medizinischen und sozialen Folgen von HIV/AIDS lenken um Spenden für die von uns unterstützen nationalen und internationalen Projekte zu lukrieren. Der Life Ball tritt jedes Jahr wieder gegen die Ignoranz gegenüber dem Thema AIDS/HIV auf und verleiht den Betroffenen eine Stimme. Und diese wird weithin über die Österreichischen Grenzen hinweg gehört.

C.E.: Konntet ihr in den letzten Jahrzehnten Fortschritte im Bezug auf das Thema AIDS und HIV sehen?

Gery Keszler: Was sich auf jeden Fall positiv entwickelt hat ist der breitere Zugang zu Medikamenten.

Eine wichtige Weichenstellung war hier die Zulassung kostengünstiger Generika. Dadurch konnte die medizinische Versorgung in den ärmeren Ländern dieser Welt überhaupt erst erschwinglich gemacht und die Zahl der jährlichen Neuinfektionen um rund ein Drittel reduziert werden. Besorgniserregend ist allerdings die Situation im Raum Osteuropa und Zentralasien, wo HIV immer noch dramatisch am Vormarsch ist. Auch was die Stigmatisierung und soziale Ausgrenzung Betroffener angeht gibt es noch sehr viel zu tun.

C.E.: Gery, vielen Dank für das Interview!

C.E.: Hello Gery. We are very pleased to be a partner of the Life Ball 2015! How was this year‘s theme, „Gold“, selected?

Gery Keszler: In 2015, our theme is based on Vienna around 1900, a revolutionary time of awakening characterised by strong-willed and creative artists of all categories, particularly the Vienna Secessionists. The Life Ball aims to awaken a spirit of optimism, vitality and activity in each individual as well. Gold is the creative guideline, but the theme is „VER SACRUM | SANTA PRIMAVERA | SACRE DU PRINTEMPS“. The spring festival that originated in Ancient Rome, Ver Sacrum, served as inspiration for the Vienna Secessionists and was also the model for Igor Strawinsky‘s „Sacre du Printemps“. Like the Secessionists at that time, the Life Ball stands for the effort towards change, renewal and improvement, only transferred to a different millennium.

That is what the Life Ball is about.

C.E.: When will the ball take place this year and what are the objectives you have set for yourselves?

Gery Keszler: The next Life Ball will take place on 16 May 2015. As in the 22 years before, it aims to direct the highest-possible attention to the medical and social consequences of HIV/AIDS in order to gain donations for the national and international projects supported by us. Each year, the Life Ball takes a stand against the ignorance towards the topic of AIDS/HIV and gives those affected a voice. And this voice is heard far beyond Austria‘s borders.

C.E.: Have you seen progress made with regard to the topic of AIDS and HIV in the last few years?

Gery Keszler: A positive development has definitely been the broader access to medicine. An important moment in this regard was the decision to allow inexpensive generic drugs. Medical care in the poorer countries of this world could thus be made affordable

However, the situation in Eastern Europe and Central Asia is worrying, where HIV is still gaining ground in dramatic fashion. There is still a great deal to do when it comes to the stigmatisation and social exclusion of those affected as well.

C.E.: Gery, thank you very much for the interview!

Gery Keszler: Nel 2015 ci ispiriamo tematicamente alla Vienna del 1900, un periodo rivoluzionario di cambiamento, caratterizzato da artisti di ogni disciplina, dotati di forza di volontà e gioia di creazione, primi fra tutti i secessionisti viennesi. Risvegliare in ogni singolo eccitazione, vitalità e attività, questo è ciò che vorrebbe anche il Life Ball. Il Gold è il creativo filo conduttore, il motto è, però, “VER SACRUM | SANTA PRIMAVERA | SACRE DU PRINTEMPS”. La festa di primavera Ver Sacrum, che ha origini nell‘antica Roma, è stata per i secessionisti viennesi un‘ispirazione, ed è stata anche il modello per il “Sacre du Printemps” di Igor Strawinsky.

Come i secessionisti di allora, il Life Ball sostiene la bramosia per il cambiamento, il rinnovamento e il miglioramento, semplicemente trasferita in un altro secolo. È così che si chiude la parentesi del Life Ball.

C.E.: Quando si terrà il prossimo Ball e quali sono gli obiettivi che vi siete posti?

Gery Keszler: Il prossimo Life Ball si terrà il 16 maggio 2015. Dovrebbe, com‘è stato nei 22 anni precedenti, focalizzare il più possibile l‘attenzione sulle conseguenze mediche e sociali di HIV/AIDS, allo scopo di finanziare le donazioni a favore dei progetti nazionali e internazionali da noi sostenuti. Il Life Ball, ogni anno, si schiera contro l‘ignoranza nei confronti del tema AIDS/HIV e dà voce alle persone affette, una voce che risuonerà e sarà ascoltata oltre i confini austriaci.

C.E.: Avete assistito a progressi, negli ultimi decenni, relativamente al tema AIDS e HIV? Gery Keszler: Ciò che sicuramente ha avuto uno sviluppo positivo è stato l‘accesso sempre più ampio ai trattamenti. Una svolta fondamentale è stata, inoltre, l‘autorizzazione di farmaci generici a basso costo.

Questo ha reso assolutamente accessibile l‘assistenza medica nei paesi più poveri del mondo e ha ridotto di circa un terzo la quantità delle nuove infezioni annuali. È tuttavia preoccupante la situazione nelle zone dell‘Est Europa e del Centro Asia, dove l‘HIV è ancora drammaticamente in espansione.

Anche per quanto riguarda la stigmatizzazione e l‘esclusione sociale nei confronti delle persone affette, c‘è ancora molto da lavorare.

Werner Schreyer übermalt für den Bildzyklus „unbreakable“ Röntgen-Portraits von Stefan Bradl

Die Röntgenbilder von Moto GP-Rennfahrer Stefan Bradl, die das Verletzliche verkörpern, übermalte Schreyer mit kraftvollen Farben und ausdrucksstarken Pinselstrichen. Die Umsetzung dieses ungewöhnlichen Projektes war für Schreyer genau die Herausforderung, die er als Künstler sucht: „Ich bin auch als Model mit meinen Bildern immer ungewöhnliche Wege gegangen.

Das versuche ich mit dem Zyklus ‚unbreakable‘ nun in der Malerei fortzuführen. Schreyer over painted the X-ray images of Moto GP racing driver Stefan Bradl – which embody the vulnerable – with strong colours and expressive brush strokes. For Schreyer, the implementation of this unusual project was exactly the challenge he is looking for as an artist: „I have always pursued unusual paths even as a model with my pictures. I am now trying to continue this in painting with the ‚unbreakable‘ cycle. Mein Name ist Matti SuurHamari und ich bin ParaSnowboard Cross Athlet.

Im Sommer �09 hatte ich einen schlimmen Verkehrsunfall, bei dem mein Bein so schwer verletzt wurde, dass es mir unterhalb vom Knie amputiert werden musste. Trotz all der Schmerzen und der Tragik der Situation schwor ich mir, dass diese Verletzung nicht das Ende meines Lebens sein würde, auch keine Behinderung - sondern meine größte Herausforderung! Ein paar Tage später sah ich im Internet Videos von beinamputierten Skateboardern und Snowboardern. Diese Clips waren eine große Motivation für mich. Ich dachte mir: Wenn die das können, schaffe ich das auch! Im Frühjahr 2012 stand ich dann das erste mal wieder auf einem Snowboard und im Herbst 2013 nahm ich an meinem ersten Weltcup teil - und belegte dort den 3. Platz, und in Folge dessen mehrere

Top 10 Plätze auf der ganzen Tour. Der Rest ist sozusagen Geschichte: Ein Startplatz bei den Paralympics in Sotschi folgte kurz darauf und in der kommenden Saison darf ich sogar an den XGames teilnehmen! Nell‘estate ‚09 sono stato protagonista di un grave incidente stradale, durante il quale la mia gamba è stata ferita in modo talmente grave, che fu necessario amputarla dal ginocchio in giù.

Nonostante il dolore e la tragicità della situazione, ho giurato a me stesso che questa ferita non avrebbe rappresentato la fine della mia vita e neanche una disabilità, bensì la mia più grande sfida! Un paio di giorni dopo vidi, in internet, un video su skateboarder e snowboarder con arti inferiori amputati.

Queste clip hanno costituito per me una

grande motivazione. Ho pensato: se riescono loro, ce la faccio anch‘io!

Nella primavera 2012 risalii per la prima volta su uno snowboard e nell‘autunno 2013 ho partecipato alla mia prima World Cup, conquistando il terzo posto, e in seguito diversi posti tra i Top 10 di tutto il tour. Orlando Duque is still unbreakable Orlando Duque - 40-jährige Koryphäe des Klippenspringens und gloryfy-Athlet seit vielen Jahren - blickt auf eine großartige Saison mit diversen Podiumsplätzen und einem 4. Platz im Gesamtranking der Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series zurück. Darüber hinaus wurde er als „Kolumbianischer Athlet des Jahres“ und „Lateinamerikanischer Extremsportler des Jahres“ nominiert. Die Auszeichnung als „FINA High Diver of the Year“ war dann noch das sprichwörtliche Sahnehäubchen auf einer ansonsten schon tollen Saison … Orlando Duque – a 40-year-old expert on cliff diving and a gloryfy athlete for many years – looks back at a terrific season with various podium places and 4th place in the overall ranking of the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series. In addition to this, he was nominated as „Colombian Athlete of the Year“ and „Latin American Extreme Sportsman of the Year“. Achtung: Wiederholtes, schnell abfolgendes Knicken von Rahmen der Bügel kann zu einem Deaktivieren des Memoryeffekts führen und dadurch die Molekularstruktur des Materials verändern (geknickte Stelle wird warm), wodurch ein Riss im Kunststoff entstehen kann.

Highest optical quality Der Grund für die hohe optische Klarheit des Linsenmaterials ist die hohe Abbe-Zahl von I-Flex (Abbe Zahl 44) im Vergleich zu Polycarbonat (Abbe Zahl 31) und 1,67 Material (Abbe Zahl 32). Für eine perfekte optische Klarheit ist eine Abbe-Zahl, die gleich hoch oder höher als die des menschlichen Auges ist, notwendig. I-Flex bietet die höchste optische Klarheit, frei von Farbindifferenzen.

Ein weiteres besonderes Feature der gloryfy SPORTstyle-Kollektion ist die Form des Rahmens. Die starke Krümmung des Frontteils (Base 9) garantiert ein optimiertes Abschließen der Brille. LCR HONDA MOTOGP Voller Stolz haben wir in der Saison 2014 ein weiteres Mal das Moto GP-Rennteam von LCR Honda, rund um den TopRennfahrer Stefan Bradl aus Deutschland und den Teambesitzer Lucio Cecchinello, mit gloryfy unbreakable eyewear unterstützt. Einmal mehr hat das Team des ehemaligen Moto GP Champions Cecchinello bewiesen, dass sie wahrhaft unbreakable sind. Trotz mehrerer schwerer Stürze von Stefan hat sich das Team immer wieder aufgerappelt und konnte die Saison trotz alledem mit einer positiven Bilanz abschließen.

Nächste Saison wechselt Stefan Bradl in ein neues Team und wir wünschen ihm hiermit alles Gute für seinen weiteren Weg in der hart umkämpften Moto GP!
