Seddon Cricket Club members had a unique experience during the New Zealand XI vs England tour match at Seddon Park, Hamilton.

Inspired by the Curators Breakfast that takes place annually during the SCG test match, Seddon Cricket Club followed suit and hosted 55 members at the inaugural Curators Dinner.

Karl ‘KJ’ Johnson gave members a tour of the playing facilities which included an in depth presentation on how to prepare a world class cricket pitch. The members were blown away by the education they received – KJ discussed the rules and regulations that must be followed, timelines and many other factors that aren’t obvious to the regular cricket follower. Thank you very much KJ for your time and enthusiasm to make this concept work! It was absolutely fantastic.
Members also got the opportunity to listen to former England opening batter and current England coach, Marcus Trescothick, during a 30 minute Q & A session. Thank you for your time Marcus, it was very generous of you and we really appreciated it.
Thank you!
Seamus Marten at Northern Districts Cricket Association for his support.
