hydrate
Hydration isn’t just about guzzling water it’s about how well your body absorbs it. Not all water is created equal, and during summer heat, a pinch of mineralrich sea salt can help your cells retain fluid more effectively by supporting electrolyte balance (think sodium, magnesium, and potassium). Even better? Snack on water-rich fruits and vegetables like watermelon, cucumber, and berries. Their structured water bound in fiber and natural sugars is more easily absorbed by your cells, keeping you cooler and more hydrated for longer.

Summer doesn’t have to mean a packed itinerary or far-off flights. Sometimes the sweetest adventures are found close to home in spontaneous day trips, quiet staycations, orhiddencornersofnature Lettheseasoninviteyoutoslowdown, wander without a plan, and follow the glimmers: a sun-dappled path, a breezy journal session under a tree, or an unexpected conversation with a stranger Let go of the pressure to “makeitallfit, ” andinstead, makeroomforpresence That’swheretherealmagiclives

Is your summer rhythm feeling a little all over the place? Perfect. When kids are coming and going on their own timelines, the best thing we can do is flow with it. Embrace the late-night kitchen chats, the midday coffee runs, the shifting plans and spontaneous drop-ins. Let go of the need to organize every moment and instead savor the small windows of connection those unplanned moments where everyone just happens to be in the same place at the same time. That’s what summer’s really about.
glow
Get your glow on the effortless way this summer. When the temps rise, less really is more think dewy skin and lighter makeup-just a swipe of waterproof mascara, and a juicy lip gloss that catches the light. Get your skin gleaming with light coconut oil as a natural moisturizer (bonus: it smells like vacation and even has a bit of spf.) Toss on a bright pop of color—nails, lips, or that vibrant, happy dress you forgot you loved—and let your natural glow take center stage. Easy, radiant, you.

PROTEIN PROTEIN
This is your sign to stop running on sugary iced coffee and unhealthy snacks that offer almost no nutrition. Protein is the unsung hero of your summer keeping your energy high, your mood stable, and your muscles strong (yes, the ones you use for carrying beach bags and chasing kids around). The best part? It’s easier than ever to sneak it into your day from post-swim snacks to easydinners , we’re showing you how to make this the summer your body truly feels supported.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing for 2-3 minutes until fragrant and softened. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks. Brown the beef for 5-7 minutes or until no longer pink. Drain any excess grease if needed. Stir in the sweet potato cubes and season with smoked paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Cover the skillet and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sweet potatoes are tender.

disruption, cellular damage, and even cancer Chemicals like oxybenzone, octinoxate, and homosalate are known to disrupt hormone balance, absorb into the bloodstream and generate free radicals when exposed to UV light. Some of these are banned in places like Hawaii for harming coral reefs yet we ’ ve been rubbing them into our children’s skin
Several brands were quietly pulled from shelves, leaving parents feeling betrayed and guilty
We had tried to protect our kids. Were we actually harming them?
Thankfully, mineral-based sunscreens made with nonnano zinc oxide or titanium dioxide offer a safer option They sit on the skin’s surface, reflecting UV rays rather than absorbing them But the deeper question remains: Is the sun really the enemy they told us it was?
Sunlight, in smart and moderate doses, isn’t dangerous. It’s essential So why didn’t they tell us that?
And what about sunglasses? Sure, they’re stylish but they block more than glare Our eyes help regulate melanin production our body’s natural sunblock by signaling the brain that we ’ re in sunlight When we wear sunglasses and coat our skin in SPF 50, we block the signals but not the rays. We stop the burn without building the barrier. So when we finally get sun say, on vacation we burn easily. The sun becomes an aggressor, not an ally
And there’s another layer no one talks about: diet
Most processed foods and even “healthy” snacks are loaded with omega-6-rich seed oils (canola, soybean, sunflower grapeseed) These oils break down under heat and light inside your skin creating free radicals when exposed to UV. That means more nflammation, more burning, and yes, potentially more cancer People in the 60's and 70's didn’t eat industrial seed oils They cooked with butter and tanned with coconut oil Their skin was built differently from the inside out
Then there’s our lifestyle. We live under artificial lights, glued to blue-lit screens deep into the night, and rarely step outside Blue light, especially at night, suppresses melatonin a hormone that doesn’t just help us sleep, but also supports immune function, reduces inflammation, and repairs DNA Without enough melatonin, our bodies can’t heal the UV damage we fear The modern lifestyle has removed the sun from the day and the dark from the night leaving us disconnected, depleted, and out of sync.
So what’s the real answer?
Start by doing your own research Don’t blindly trust industries that profit off fear Ask questions Connect the dots
It’s time to rethink our relationship with the sun
It may sound crazy, but…
What if the rise in melanoma isn’t happening despite all our sun protection but because of it?
What if sunburns aren’t just about UV rays but about the internal state of our skin?
I came across a concept called the “solar callus” the idea of slowly, intentionally reintroducing natural sunlight to our skin and eyes (without burning), allowing the body to rebuild its resilience We can support this process by cutting back on seed oils and eating antioxidant-rich foods like berries, moringa, and omega-3s
So how do we achieve a solar callus? Here are some ways to start: Skip the sunglasses Wear a wide-brimmed hat Use clean, mineral-based sunscreen only when necessary not as a daily reflex Build your sun tolerance slowly Nourish your skin from within Maybe the sun isn’t something to fear but something to understand and respect Think of fire: it can cook your food or burn your house down. The difference? How you use it. The sun is no different. It’s powerful, life-giving and demands mindfulness, not avoidance.
Personally, I sit in the shade or wear hats during peak hours I build my tolerance in the winter with short, intentional exposure I eat clean, avoid seed oils, and protect my skin from the inside out I’ve ditched daily sunglasses and use sunscreen only when truly needed
This is what I call practicing Safe Sun and I encourage you to explore it for yourself Don’t fall for fear-based marketing. Don’t outsource your common sense. Because maybe just maybe like so many things we ’ re now rethinking…
They got it wrong
But the good news? It’s not too late to get it right

Rethinking shame, conformity, and the courage of kids who carve their own path
The path
thatledme towritethis articlemuststartfromthebeginning So,I’dliketofirstshare a little of my history: I grew up in Baltimore, the daughter of baaleiteshuvaparents,immersedintheLitvishYeshiva/Bais Yaakov system from as far back as I can remember. My foundational belief system was built within the postHolocaust yeshivish mindset that permeated the 1970s and 80s
Now, I know not everyone reading this will fully understand what that means, so let me briefly describe the culture without infusing too much of the personal bias I’ve carried throughout the years, including the 26 years I lived and raisedmyfamilyinLakewood,NJ,oneoftheworld’sgreatest centersofTorahstudy
The yeshivish world emphasizes a deep reverence for tradition,centeringaroundatight-knitsystemofBaisYaakov schoolsforgirlsandyeshivasforboys. It’saculturerootedin Torah learning, modesty, and a strong sense of communal identity Manyoftherulesareunspokenbutdeeplyfeltwitha do-or-diepassionthateveryonemusttoetheline Deviation feels dangerous, and questioning is often frowned upon There’s beauty in the structure, but there can also be a heaviness, oftenlacedwithshame especiallyforthosewho strugglewiththechumrahs(stringencies)andrestrictions,or haveexperiencedrejectionfromschoolsorothergroups. The entire lifestyle is internalized to the point that deviation whether by a spouse, a child, or even within ourselves can feel like existential failure For kids who don’t quite fit the mold, forgingtheirownpathcanfeellikeheresy evenwhen it’s just coming from honest curiosity or exploration, or later, fromescapingtheirownpainofjudgmentandrejection.
Justtobeclear, thisisn’ta“bashthecommunity”piece This is about clarity and growth I’m sharing what I’ve learned frommyown, oftenunnecessarilypainfuljourneyinthehope that it sparks some healing, perspective, and maybe even change especially for those navigating challenging family dynamics within the Orthodox world. I think it’s time to share and shed light on some new ideas on how we can view our increasingly more diverse families in a way that is far more beneficialforourkidsandourselvesasparents
With that being said, one can start to imagine the intense pressure, as a parent, to make sure their kids are well accepted within the cultural norms of these communities But it goes deeper than acceptance it’s where the shame creeps in, and It’s this shame and suffering that I want to addressthemost
On the energetic frequency scale, shame sits right at the bottom it’s the lowest vibration emotion we can feel, even lower than guilt or fear It’s the internalized sense that something is fundamentally wrong or bad about us, and that’s what makes it so painful it disconnects us from our worth, our voice, and our sense of belonging. And make no mistake shame doesn’t purify, it paralyzes and keeps us from stepping into who we really are It questions our entire existence and destroys any sense of worthiness we may have It makes us feel teeny and insignificant, so much so that we’d prefer to disappear and become invisible, or G-d forbid not exist at all. As far as I’m concerned, there should be no system, especially a supposedly holy and spiritually elevated one, that should ever use shame as a tool for enforcingitsdogmaonsociety
AndIusetheword‘Dogma’becauseIbelievethatalotofthe social norms of these cultures have, in some instances, moved far away from what Hashem and His beautiful, complex, mystical, deep, andeverflowingTorahintendedfor us Althoughdogmacanprovidestructureandidentity, when held too rigidly, it can stifle personal growth, curiosity, and individualthinking especiallywhenpeoplearediscouraged fromquestioningorexploringbeyondtherules.
We are meant to be a widely diverse people, each with our own beautiful talents, strength, weaknesses, challenges, and purpose ThereisnotonlyonewaytointerprettheTorah, asit islayeredandnuancedandpersonaltoeachandeveryJew. some of the most foundational tenets of the Torah If an action or attitude is the exact antithesis of a powerful Torah tenet, yet it’s fully accepted into the culture to the point that everyone’s afraid to question or stand up against it, we shouldknowwe’vegonetoofar.
And that’s where these wonderful, beautiful children-the oneswhowemaycalltherebels-whoaskquestions,andgo againstthenarrativesthatintrinsicallyfeelwrong-comeinto play. Did you ever think that their seemingly rebellious behavior and actions may actually be part of Hashem’s masterplanofbringingsoulsintotheworldthatcanactually see beyond the cultural surface, and correct what has been wrongly embedded deep within, via fear based actions and reactions from years and years of persecution and loss? Maybethesespecialsoulsacceptedtheirrolesinhelpingus movebacktoamoreloving, accepting, and
and uplifting lifestyle that we are meant to live as Orthodox Jews, especially during these healing Messianic times And like all processes in life, it is only through their mistreatment or hardships that these changes can they be materialized.
Rabbi Y.Y. Jacobson has addressed this topic with profound insight and compassion In his talk titled "It's the Children Who Challenge Us Who Teach Us What Judaism Is," he emphasizes that these children are nottobeseenasfailuresoroutsiders, but rather as individuals who can teach us valuable lessons about our faith and community He suggests that their struggles can highlight areas where the community may need to grow or change, urging a response rooted in love and understanding rather than judgment Youcanwatchhistalksthatrelateto thistopicHEREandHERE
Avi Fishoff, the founder of Twisted Parenting, emphasizes the importance of unconditional love and acceptance for children who have left the Orthodox Jewish path. He advocates for a compassionate approach, viewing these children not as rebels but as individuals in pain who need support and understanding Fishoff believes that by embracing these children with warmth and without judgment, parents can create a healing environment that fosters reconnection and growth. His methodology is grounded in Daas Torah and has received endorsements fromleadingrabbinicauthorities, underscoringitsalignment with traditional Jewish values For more insights into Avi Fishoff's approach and teachings, you can explore his YouTubechannelHERE
Moving out of Lakewood (through a series of misfortuneswhichofcourseendedupbeingtotalblessings)andlivingin morediversecommunities,wasarealwake-upcall Afterthe culture shock wore off, I realized what a breath of fresh air it was to finally feel comfortable in my own skin, in communities that included a much wider range of observancelevelsandthefreedomtobeyourownindividual selfinyourservicetoHashem
After attending Avi Fishoff’s support groups for several months, our entire family dynamic changed for the better and I was able to see the beauty in the unfolding diversity within my own family It was only through the healing of my own shame, that I realized how deeply it had affected my ownchildren Becausekids theyfeelandabsorbeverything! When we can finally just accept, and even celebrate ourselvesandallofourfamilymembersforwhotheyare,we notonlyhealtheirsuffering, butwealsohealourown.
I believe it’s time to shed our shame and pain and step into our unique power and calling. For the kids reading this: I hope you know how special and necessary you are to the colorful fabric of our people You are beingcalledtostandoutandmakea difference! And for the parents readingthis:It’stimetotakebackour own power from the need to “fit in” or be judged positively by people who are probably not even thinking about you-because they are in their own unseen struggles Let’s return to the original source of everything we hold to be true and good: Our connection with Hashem and the actual words within the Torah We need to ask ourselves the basic foundational questions that appear once we shed our egos: How do we think Hashem want’s us to behave toward the souls He entrusted with us? If Hashem createdusimperfectandistheone
who arranged for our specific challenges, what do we think He’sactuallyaskingofus?
I believe Hashem wants us to love fully, think for ourselves, andstopmeasuringworthinessbyconformity Eachchildisa divine spark They are here, in this generation, to shake us awake, to challenge what’s broken, and to light the path back to a more compassionate, authentic Judaism Our challenges should teach us to respect each individual’s personal journey by shining our own light as loving, accepting role models, as we are all on the same team, yet meant to be our own unique selves, diverse and united, withinit Andthat’ssomethingwecanallfeelgoodabout!

I don’t really care what people think, but I’m still in so much pain about my kids not following in our ways. How do I deal with it without them feeling my pain and disappointment?
Somewhere along the way you were taught that the only way to be a frum a jew was to live a very specific lifestyle. You were told that it’s the most tragic thing when someone leaves the fold. This belief system is embedded deep inside you. But if you take a step back, and start to look around at the many diverse types of communities and customs within the Jewish world, you will realize that there is not only one way, and that it is in fact not tragic when individuals are searching for a different lifestyle because the current one doesn’t suit them. Different doesn’t me tragic, but the path to get there may be a bit rocky and we as parents need to support and be there for our kids while they’re traveling the road, even if it looks like they’re going the wrong way. Sometimes a person needs to go all the way down to come back up. And even when they do, it may not be horrific, self-destructive we of They system to as the being effect we and a than that haven kids or deepest not As
of letting go of our own egos and expectations. In a way we must mourn a loss of how we expected things to turn out…at least temporarily. We must actively do exercises in looking for and seeing the positives and good within our children and keep our focus there as much as possible. If you’re in public and shame creeps in, give your kid a big hug out of the blue. That action will kill the shame because you will be showing the world THE CORRECT way to be with your kids.
So you’re saying it should just be a free for all? There should be no rules, boundaries, or discipline at all?
Absolutely not. Part of being a loving supportive parent is setting boundaries. But it should always be about safety first, and ‘religious’ things last. As a parent you will recognize what works with your child and what his or her triggers are. Pick your battles carefully. The most important thing is to not add more shame to their already low sense of self, especially around religious restrictions. At a certain age they will do what they want and dress how they want regardless of what you say or do, so you may as well maintain your relationships with them so they don’t have to sneak behind your back. That’s where the danger really lies. If they feel safe with you you can guide them gently especially with things regarding their safety and well-being. When it comes to the things that really don’t matter (like a boy wanting to wear jeans or a girl not wanting to wear socks, simply say, “I trust you to make these choices for yourself.” Even if it means they will “get in trouble” at school. Because clearly that school is not the right fit for them.
I just don’t get it. When I was a kid we knew better. The rules were the rules. We would never disrespect our parents like this!
You are correct, and if you haven’t noticed, it’s a totally different world, and a much different time. We are clearly coming close to the end of the way things were and entering into the new age of Moshiach consciousness. Lot’s of things seems to be breaking down, changing and getting shook to the core…including our little culture bubbles. This is not by accident, and like I mentioned above, I truly believe that we as the parents, and our kids who are going through their own difficult experiences, are the special souls being brought down to do the hard work to shake things up, break things down, and rebuild with light, love, unity, and acceptance.

Hi! I’m Basya. Here’s what my life used to look like:
6:00am:Wakeupinastressylittlepanicbecause Imustbeatworkby8:00,it’smydayforcarpool, my commute is over an hour long, parking is impossible, and my first two clients are overbooked
8:00am–7:00pm:Seeclientsbacktoback,then rush home, get the kids, make dinner, and do homework.
7:00 pm – 10:00 pm: Back to work, see more clients, and handle all my “Girl Boss” responsibilities
There was always more to do As a manager of several coaching locations, it was my job to hire, train, supervise, and manage my staff, create their schedules, handle payroll and client issues, put out fires, implement policies, and constantly strategizetogrowthecompany
Most nights, I would pass out at 2:00 am when I was finally too exhausted to work or worry or scroll anymore. And like a crazy person, I took on even more developing new product lines, partnerships, andprograms.
It was chaos. I couldn’t breathe. I was afraid to turn my phone off because of what I knew would bewaitingformewhenIturneditbackon
I believe that many women in high-responsibility roles don’t even realize when fear is their fuel, because it masquerades as success. Or we notice but we ’ re so stuck we can’t find a way out.
Ohandyes thehusbandandthe5kids
I was anxious all the time I was saying yes to things I should’ve been saying no to, convinced that I had no choice.
Looking back, I recognize that what started out as passion was gradually replaced by a new driver in the driver’s seat: Fear
Fearofdisappointingpeople Fearofnotbeingenough Fear thatifImissedabeat,itwouldallcomecrashingdown
For many of us, somewhere along the way, we internalized the belief that our worth has to be earned, and keep being earned, overandoveragain.
We need to prove maybe to our bosses, to our clients, but if we are being honest to ourselves that we are always producing, alwaysperforming, alwayson

Living a life that’s aligned with who you want to be is not easy It’s scary You will have to let go of a lot you might havetoquestionyourentireidentity
But when you do this with Hashem, you begin to find yourselfagain.
Now, I live from that place. I’m not perfect. Life isn’t perfect. Nooneis andit’snotsupposedtobe.
ButI’maligned Andtome,that’severything
3 quick questions to check your alignment:
Am I showing up how I want to for the people I love?
Do I know what really matters to me—or am I just running?
Is fear driving me, or faith?

Reclaiming the Spark Within From Glimmer to Glow: From Glimmer to Glow: From Glimmer to Glow:
There’s a quiet conversation happening behind every sigh, every scroll, every “I’m fine ” It’s the voice inside a woman ’ s body that says: “I’m tired, and I keep going ” “I feel things, and I don’t have time to feel them ” “I used to be lit up and now I don’t even know what lights me anymore. ” If you ’ ve ever felt that way, you ’ re not broken. You’re not behind. You’re not too late. You’re simply being invited inward.
Perhaps you ’ ve been taught to chase the glimmer the outer glow-up. This is not just about looking good. This is about integration, wholesomeness, holiness and the sacred remembering of who you already are
Step01
See Your Mood as a Messenger Your mood is not the problem It’s the portal The symptom is a signal The pain is pointing The fatigue is speaking
Even emotional heaviness and financial tension carry meaning
This is where true healing begins when we start listening
Step02
Reclaim Your Libido—Your Vital Life Force
Libido is your yes to life It’s your vitality Your inner spark
It’s not something performative it’s the flame within that fuels your purpose, your pleasure, and your personal power
In Jewish thought, this spark is called the Nitzotz Eloki the divine spark inside you When we turn that light back on, everything begins to shift
Step03
Tune into the Energy Body (Meridians + Sefirot)
Our bodies hold ancient wisdom The pain in your throat, the tightness in your chest, the ache in your joints these are not just random
They correspond to meridians and emotional centers that are also reflected in the Sefirot the Tree of Life in Kabbalah. When energy is blocked, you feel stuck When it flows, you feel aligned
You don’t need to guess Your body is talking, and there is a method to hear it
Step04
Reveal the Root Cause
We don’t bandage symptoms We decode them Using muscle testing, homeopathy, breathwork, flower essences, and quantum timelines, we gently reveal what’s underneath the surface
Step05
Practice. Breathe. Be. Become. (This is the heart of my work )
Breathe: Bring yourself into the present moment Be: Accept what is Become: Align with what’s possible.
Your next level isn’t forced It’s revealed You begin to manifest from calm not from pressure
Step06
Anchor in Visualization + Soul Signature Each woman carries a unique soul code A Soul Signature When you tune in to your higher self, you begin to embody your divine design
Try this now:
Place a hand on your heart and belly. Breathe in deeply. Visualize the Hebrew letter Aleph (א) made of two Yuds and a diagonal Vav, totaling 26, the gematria of G‐d’s Name of Mercy.
Whisper: Ein Od Milvado There is nothing but the Divine. Imagine walking through that Aleph and into the wholeness of who you were always meant to be
What would your life look like if you were lit from within? How would you walk? Speak? Feel?
This is your birthright..
Healing happens in layers Sometimes slowly, sometimes suddenly but always with reverence Even resistance is sacred It shows you where to go next
Step07
Make the Shift Holistic + Sustainable Transformation is not a one-time event It’s a shift in identity It’s the joy of waking up and saying: “I feel good in my body I feel light in my heart I feel connected to my purpose ”
And this is not limited to one area of life. When your energy heals, it ripples: into parenting, partnership, career, finances even ancestral patterns begin to shift
What I’ve Witnessed
I began this work for myself when I was just 12 Then for my children Then for my students as a preschool teacher I saw a need I created what was missing
Over the past two decades, I’ve had the honor of helping thousands of women reclaim their spark. And what I’ve learned is this: every activation is different, and every one is divine
Some begin with a quiz Some need a detox. Some want coaching. Some become the healer they wish they had
Through my school and sessions, I’ve watched women go from chronic fatigue to creativity from anxiety to clarity… from “Why me?” to “I see me.”
It’s not magic it’s alignment And yes, it takes work And yes, it’s worth it.
You Are the Light
You’re not here to be someone else You’re here to reveal your truth.
Imagine what it would feel like to manifest your soul’s vision To trust your yes and your no To understand your body’s messages To feel wholesome, holy, and home within yourself.
You don’t need to become someone new You simply need to remember who you’ve always been

Climate-Proof Curls Climate-Proof Curls
Hair and wig stylist Bleema Weissman, founder of Rebel Queen hair products for curly hair, helps us tackle the challenges of managing curly hair during the summer months.
summer! summer!
Sun-drenched days, carefree vibes… and a whole new level of drama for our glorious textured hair. From the swampy embrace of humidity to the parched reality of desert heat, and the salty tang of coastal air, each summer climate throws unique curveballs at our curls, coils, and waves. But fear not, I’ll help you conquerthisseason!
Let's decode how summer ' s diverse climates impactyourtexturedtresses:
Humidity'sHeavyHand:
Desert'sDrySpell:
Flipthescript, andyou'vegottheariddesert, where the air is a moisture vacuum. It relentlessly sucks hydration from everything, including your precious locks The result? Dryness, brittleness, breakage, andcurlsthat lack discernible shape Think rough texture andadull, lifelessappearance
CoastalClimateChaos:
That dewy air? For us, it can quickly turn into a frizz fest. In high humidity, our porous strands act like tiny sponges, soaking up excess moisture. This causes the hair shaft to swell, lifting the cuticle and unleashing that halo of unwanted frizz. Definition vanishes, replaced by alimp, undefinedmass.
Ah, the coast – a beautiful but often bewildering mix. Salty air can be incredibly drying, while lingering humidity can still trigger frizz. Add in wind that loves to tangle and disrupt your carefully crafted curl pattern, and you ' ve got a recipe for hair that'sconstantlyinflux.
Enter Your Secret Weapon for Summer: Curl Confidence.
Imagine a summer where your curls stay defined, hydrated, and frizz-free no matter what the weather throws at you. The key isn’t a complicated routine or a cabinet full of products. It’s understanding what your textured hair truly needs in each environment and giving it the right support.
Whether you're battling humidity, dry heat, or salty coastal breezes, your hair deserves a little strategy and a lot of love. Start with moisture hydration is your foundation in any climate. Layer in lightweight protection to seal in that moisture and block out the elements. And always choose products that work with your natural texture, not against it.
As a curl specialist, I always tell my clients: your summer hair care should work smarter, not harder. That’s exactly why I developed Rebel Queen Curl Control a multi-tasking product designed to hydrate, define, and protect curls in all types of summer climates. It’s become a go-to in my own routine and a favorite among my clients who want results without the fuss.
This summer, embrace the weather and your curls with confidence. With the right care, your hair can thrive anywhere from beachside to city streets. Reign on.

Soul Journey Through Tammuz, Av, and Elul
Jewish time isn’t linear it’s a spiral. Each month offers us a unique energy, a cosmic invitation to grow, to feel, to return. And nowhere is this more palpablethaninthetrioofTammuz,Av,andElul a sacred arc that carries us from the heat of constriction to the gentle whisper of soulsearching
Tammuz and Av are not easy months In Jewish astrology, they are ruled by signs that speak of intensity: Cancer, the emotional and protective nurturer, and Leo, the fiery heart-centered lion. These are months of paradox where mourning and potential swirl together. We commemorate destruction during the “Three Weeks” and Tisha B’Av, but beneath the sorrow, there’s a deeper message: a crack in the outer shell that lets the lightseepin
In the heat of Tammuz, we feel things deeply. Old wounds surface. Defenses tighten. In Av, heartbreak becomes collective. But Jewish wisdom teaches that from within these constrictedplaces, webirththeseedsof

And then comes Elul Like a soft exhale A turning inward A month of preparation, reflection, and quiet return Ruled by Virgo the sign of refinement and humble service Elul invites us to gentlyexaminetheterrainofourhearts Weblow the shofar each morning to stir our souls from spiritual sleep, to begin the journey back to our truestselves.
