The team at Scooters & Mobility Sunshine Coast has thrown its support behind bush fire fundraising efforts with a commitment to donate funds from the sale of a variety of products during the month of February.
Owner Bryan Hill said the store had previously successfully run flood relief fundraisers and, given the widespread devastation from the recent Australian bush fire crisis, they were happy to donate a portion of sales from their most popular items this month.
“We want to help out and strongly believe it’s better to do even a little bit to support those in need than to do nothing at all," Bryan said.
Donations from the business towards bush fire relief will include $100 from the sale of every mobility scooter or electric wheelchair, $50 from every electric lift and recliner chair, $20 from every manual wheelchair or walker and $10 from combined purchases over $150 from a variety of mobility and home aids and accessories.

Bryan said he hoped customers would take advantage of the initiative and he looked forward to donating some much-needed funds with the support of customers to those who needed it most.
“If people are thinking of purchasing mobility and home aid products, then this could be an added feel-good incentive for our customers this month to know that their purchase is also helping others,” Bryan said.
