Have you got your tickets for the hinterland bush fire fundraiser dinner at Altitude on Montville on Sunday, February 23?
One of the organisers, Heather Child, said the evening would feature some amazing artwork as raffle prizes and auction items, along with a delicious three-course dinner and awesome live entertainment.
Popular comedian and MC Anna Brennan had recently come on board to support the event. Anna, who started doing stand-up in Melbourne in 2014, now runs regular comedy shows on the Sunshine Coast and is just one of the many people donating their time to the fundraiser.
“We have seen incredible items donated by local businesses including art pieces and store vouchers, including a stunning Gary Myers painting of the Glass House Mountains valued at $4,500," Heather said.
"We also have unique hand-blown glass pieces by Tina Cooper and Wolfgang Engel, a beautiful Judith Laws piece titled ‘Afterglow’ donated by Art on Cairncross, gorgeous hand-painted limited edition cushions by Sir Donald James Walters, beautiful handmade glass vases by Jonathan Westacott and distinctive pieces by sculptors and potters Phil and Valerie Willy.
"Also up for grabs is a range of gift vouchers including $500 from Illume Creations in Montville, private Pilates lessons, family passes to Maleny Dairies, wine and workshop vouchers, and more," she said.
The evening is all about supporting bush fire recovery efforts with proceeds from the raffles and auctions, along with 100% of the ticket price, being evenly split between wildlife charities WIRES and Wildlife Victoria, and BlazeAid.
"We are urging locals to get in quick to secure their seats at the event. Tickets are $100 a head for what will be a fun night out for a worthwhile cause,” Heather said.
