We are so excited you have reached out to us about hosting your event at Glass Hill Venue. It is our greatest desire to provide a once in a lifetime experience as you begin one of the most important journeys of your life Visions of brides and grooms reciting their vows with the Peaks of Otter draping the landscape became a dream that would not be tamed. The magnificent view of the Blue Ridge Mountain range was just one of many reasons we felt compelled to begin this journey Impassioned with a desire to provide superior customer service, a warm and inviting reception space, pristine grounds and an esteemed respect for the institution of marriage, our own journey began. We are honored you are interested in hosting your wedding at GHV and joining the GHV family.

What doesGlass Hill include in all bookings?

Use of our main lodge which houses our reception space, kitchen, bridal suite, restrooms, catering cove, and bar

Use of the newly constructed Groom suite

Large commercial staging kitchen (amenities include a large commercial refrigerator, warming unit, stove, microwave, plenty of counter and table prep area, and ice)

Unparalleled views of the Peaks of Otter, which provide the perfect photo opportunity

There are wooded areas as well as expansive fields to allow for a variety of photo options to capture your day. There is even a pond!

Use of patio areas designed for optimal viewing of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Portable gas fire-pits on patio as well as patio heaters

Beautifully paved walkway (ADA compliant) to our one of kind alpine arbor.

Expansive stone fireplace equipped with gas logs

Indoor bar

Sweetheart table and chair offering options on your special day

Various in-house props including floor and table top easels, various pieces of décor, table numbers, etc

Set up and tear down of reception table and chairs

Set up and tear down of ceremony chairs

Use of various table options including 60” rounds, 6 and 8 foot rectangular, 4’ rounds, 36” rounds, farm tables, outdoor reception chairs, etc.

Sweetheart table options (four groupings offered including matching décor to compliment each option)

Climate controlled indoor environment

Generac generator in case of a power outage

In-house staff (two minimum) on site the day of your event to attend to the client/vendor/facility needs

Large designated parking area for guests, family and vendors

Your day of coordinator will:

Conduct a 30 day walk through (on-site or virtually)

Email GHV (and all vendors) 2 weeks prior to your event the following:

Vendor list (include social media handles and contact info)

Detailed ceremony outline

Overall day timeline

Assist with photographer shot list (if necessary)

Seating chart

Work with GHV to create client's layout

Be willing to conduct 1 hour rehearsal (can be on-site or off-site)

Provide 8 hrs of coverage (5 hr of event time) on event day

Bring an assistant

Respond to emails from GHV and client within 24 hrs

*Glass Hill Venue will provide you with a list of day of coordinators to pick from*

A Little Party is a local event planning company that Glass Hill Venue has partnered with for all-inclusive packages Katie Lester and Schuyler Somers are the lead planners and have over 30 years of experience in event planning. Katie and Schuyler have a team of knowledgeable, charismatic wedding experts that assist in making sure your wedding runs smoothly.

Within days of you signing your all-inclusive contract, A Little Party will be there to help answer any and all planning questions, send you vendor referrals, give you wedding day tips, and so much more!

Although A Little Party has different roles depending on the package you select, they want to ensure your vision for your special day is fulfilled.
