HISTORIC COTTON MILL BECOMES A CLOTHING DESIGN STUDIO + MARKETING OFFICE SPACE THE MILL SUITE #106 PETER MILLAR DESIGN STUDIO + MARKETING OFFICE RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA

This project was undertaken as the assistant and coordinator for the architect of this project, John Rice of JERA Inc. In the 1890s Pilot Mill and the Village at Pilot Mill were a new industrial enterprise and a promise of opportunity and a better life drew people from around the state to “Mill Hill.” At the time Pilot Mill was purchased in 1999, it was a vacant and literally collapsing group of buildings in an area of downtown Raleigh desperately in need of stabilization and encouragement of successful and profitable redevelopment. John and I coordinated various visions with both the executives at Peter Millar and Hedgehog Holdings to restore the vacant mill into an elegant design studio and marketing office space for the Peter Millar Co.
