We're absolutely thrilled about the upcoming 2024 Summer Camp Season! Camp is a time for girls to immerse themselves in an experience that transcends mere fun—it's an opportunity to cultivate lifelong memories and skills that will be foundational throughout life's journey. Our camps serve as a haven filled with positivity, aligning with the cherished traditions of Girl Scouts while nurturing friendships and sparking the excitement of personal growth, all under our guiding theme: "Be a force of nature." Girl Scout camp offers many benefits: 1

Learning is an adventure at camp; children engage socially and collaborate to solve problems, making education a joyful experience.

• No walk-in registrations at camp will be accepted. • Financial aid applications can be completed with your camp registration. • Payment is due no later than two weeks prior to the start of your child's camp session. • Cookie Gift Cards cannot be used on the online registration system or your deposit. They may be used toward your camp balance or used in our camp store. If using Cookie Gift Cards for camp balance, payment can be made at any of our Girl Scout Service Centers.

To receive the Early Bird Discount of $30 for GSWNY resident camp programs, registration forms must be received online or at the Girl Scout office on or before Sunday, March 31, 2024.

The More The Merrier Discount This discount applies to resident and day camp programs for registered Girl Scouts of Western New York members only. The first registered girl pays the full camp fee. Each additional session or additional sibling may deduct $10. All registration forms for multiple sessions and/or siblings must be received at the same time.


Campers That Require Reasonable Accommodations We want to make sure that every child that attends camp has a successful experience with us. We want to be prepared and ready for your child’s arrival and we ask that you please partner with us and provide as much important information as possible about your daughter. Based on the information provided, it might be determined that your child would benefit from having an Individual Camper Plan (ICP). The ICP is a plan that is specifically customized for your child, allowing for much smoother and successful camp experience. We ask that you, the parent/guardian, meet with the Sr. Director of Outdoor Program, Camp Director and Behavior Specialist at least 4 weeks prior to your daughter’s arrival

to camp, and together discuss the best course of action. The Girl Scouts of Western New York wants to provide a positive summer camp experience to every girl. If your child has an Individual Educational Plan (IEP) or if your child requires special accommodations (transportation, diet, food restrictions, extra supervision, etc.) while at camp, please contact the Sr. Director of Outdoor Program PRIOR to REGISTERING YOUR CHILD for camp at 1-888-837-6410 or customercare@ gswny.org to discuss the possible accommodations that could safely and reasonably be made for your child.

Financial Assistance Girl Scouts of Western New York is dedicated to ensuring that all girls are able to attend camp. Financial assistance can now be requested with online camp applications! Please remember to provide/upload all required income verification documents. Funding for financial assistance is limited and early applications are encouraged.

Girl Scouts of Western New York Overnight Camps

Camp Timbercrest July 7 to August 9, 2024 Camp Timbercrest is located on 900 beautiful acres of the Allegheny forest in Randolph, NY. The camp facilities include a 31-acre lake, numerous hiking and horseback riding trails, a central dining hall, shower facilities, cabin and platform tent units, and horse stables. Camp Timbercrest is the perfect setting for girls in grades 1-12 to experience a great traditional summer camp program. Girls will have an opportunity to participate in a variety of activities such as swimming, boating, kayaking, arts & crafts, archery, and horseback riding. While at Camp Timbercrest your girl(s) will be able to meet and make new friends, learn more about her abilities and share the joy of summer with others.

Bernadette’s Slumber Party Bernadette is inviting you to her spectacular slumber party. You and your friends will spend time at the lake splashing it up, boat around the lake looking for Bernadette, go on creek walks and play water-themed games. End your days with a fun Bernadette the Turtle slumber party. Arts and Crafts, camp songs, friends, laughter and lots more also included. Girls will earn requirements towards the following Girl Scout Badges: Daisy – Lupe’s Story (A Fair Turn in the Flower Garden) Brownie – Celebrating Community Session 2 - July 14 to 19, 2024 Session 4 - July 28 to August 2, 2024 Fee: $480 per person

My Favorite Pony This basic introductory program will help girls get to know the “ins and outs” of the horse program. Girls will get their first introductory horse lesson, take a tour of the barn, meet the horses, and start from the ground up with proper grooming, feeding, mounting, dismounting and tack care. All of the “extras” of camp will complete this exciting week. Girls will have one introductory horse lesson and one guided horse ride.

Snack-Tastic Things Happen at Camp! Snacks are a great way to get some fuel throughout your busy day at camp. Spend the week letting your creativity come to life as you make and learn about cool, healthy snacks. At the end of the week, share what you have learned with your fellow camp friends at the Amazing Timbercrest Snack Fest! Girls will earn requirements towards the following Girl Scout Badges: Daisy – Mari’s Story (Keeping a Cupcake Promise) Brownie – Snacks Session 5 - August 4 to 9, 2024 Fee: $480 per person

Fairy Land You and your friends will spend the week exploring Fairy Land at Camp Timbercrest. Create your own mini fairy houses, have a fairy tea party with your friends, put on your fairy wings and take a fairy hike to find the Camp Timbercrest Red Eft. All this and camp songs, and S’mores too! Girls will earn requirements towards the following Girl Scout Badges: Daisy – Outdoor Art Maker Brownie – Outdoor Art Creator Session 1 - July 7 to 12, 2024 Session 3 - July 21 to 26, 2024 Fee: $480 per person

Going for the Gold at Timbercrest! It is Olympics 2024! During this week girls will participate in activities and games while at the same time learning how to be the best athlete they can be. Practice your skills, work together, and go for gold! Girls will earn requirements towards the following Girl Scout Badges:

Archers and Anglers Girls will spend their week learning the fundamentals of archery and fishing! Practice and improve your archery skills by shooting at unique archery targets and playing fun games. When not at the archery range become a budding angler as you relax on the banks of Jackman Bay casting your lines into Keyser Lake. End your week with a beach party and cookout. Time will also be available for swimming, boating, friendships and laughter. (Any fish caught at Keyser Lake will be released back into the lake). Girls will earn requirements towards the following Girl Scout Badges: Junior - Animal Habitats Cadette - Animal Helpers

Boots and Spurs This riding program is open to riders at ALL LEVELS – beginner to advance. Saddle up and spend your days riding the horse trails of Timbercrest where the emphasis will be on the basics of Western riding. Emphasis will also be placed on the position of the rider, control of the horse, stable management, including basic barn chores, grooming, cleaning of the stalls, and feeding of the horses. All groupings/abilities will be rated/placed at camp by our riding staff. Campers will earn the horse patch with rider level/s. Girls must wear long pants and boots with at least a 1/2" inch heel. What is—or isn't—considered "art"? What do you consider art? Put together an awe- inspiring portfolio showing your love for the outdoors. Work with various craft materials, which may include tiles, clay, paint, or beads. Teach a simple craft to another unit. Get psychedelic with a crafting classic - tie dyeing.

Bring on Olympics 2024! Being a team captain is a big role! This week, take charge and lead your team to victory. Discover how to plan and strategize as you coach and guide your team to Gold! All of the other great activities at camp are included during this competitive week.

Trail Trekkers Do you love the outdoors, cooking over an open fire, backpacking, canoeing and pitching a tent? Trail Trekkers is for you! This introductory program prepares you for future wilderness trips. Time will be spent learning how to plan meals, pack your backpack, and hike as a group on one of the many challenging Camp Timbercrest trails and canoeing beautiful Keyser Lake. Swimming, arts and crafts, games, and songs included. Campers will be hiking, canoeing and camping on and around Camp Timbercrest. This is an introductory program to our Timbercrest wilderness trips.

Camp Timbercrest Runway Stars Calling all budding fashion designers! Spend your week learning the ins and outs of fashion design. Find out what is considered today’s fashion look. Turn your drab jeans or T-shirt into something dazzling and share your new creations at the Timbercrest Runway Fashion Show. There will still be time left over to enjoy all of the wonders of Camp Timbercrest. Girls will earn requirements towards the following Girl Scout Badges: Cadette – Entrepreneur Seniors – Social Innovator Session 3 - July 21 to 26, 2024 Fee: $480 per person

Beyond the Shore Whisk yourself away on the shores of Keyser Lake. Together with your friends you will learn the canoeing techniques of the j-stroke, draw or back-stroke; or test your balancing skills on our fun paddle boards, Corcls or kayaks. Take the challenge and conquer our popular Mothership. Make your way around the lake and host your very own all-camp sunset beach party. All of the other fun activities of Camp Timbercrest are also a part of this great package. Timbercrest at Night with Day Trip Do you like staying up late? Experience the Timbercrest nightlife! Hike the trails by flashlight, search for shooting stars, and play glow-in-thedark games, or maybe a kitchen raid and a little shopping at the trading post. You will also take a trip to nearby Jamestown Bowling Company for bowling, laughter, and pizza. After a hard night of playing, sleep late into the morning and enjoy some of your favorite camp activities in the afternoon. Girls will earn requirements towards the following Girl Scout Badges: Cadette – Night Owl Seniors – Traveler Session 1 - July 7 to 12, 2024 Session 5 - August 4 to 9, 2024 Fee: $525 per person

Riding the Trails Explore the horse trails at Camp Timbercrest. Spend your days, and even a night, out on the trails. Girls will learn how to do some Equestrian First Aid, spot and avoid trail dangers and learn the ins and outs of packing a saddlebag. This equestrian program is tailored for the intermediate to advanced rider who is working on trotting or cantering and can independently halt, steer at the walk and trot on the rail in good control. Girls must wear long pants and boots with at least a 1/2" inch heel. Wilderness Trip Programs for Girls in Grades 7-12 Fall 2024

Timbercrest Survival Squad

Prerequisite: Girls must take either Trail Trekkers, Trail Adventure II, Paddle Explorer, Conquer Camping II, Whitewater Rafting (offered in the Program Guide) or have canoeing, backpacking or tent camping experience in order to participate in this program.

Professional guides from Adventures in Fitness will provide you with the top 10 essential items needed to prepare you for your next wilderness expedition. Activities include tent pitching, fire building competitions, trip planning, map/compass skills, hiking, wilderness first aid skills and canoeing/ kayaking. Some of the Timbercrest favorites (swimming, songs, laughter, and fun) are also included in this fantastic program. This program takes place onsite at Camp Timbercrest.

Cave Dwellers & Rafting Rascals

Girls will earn requirements towards the following Girl Scout Badges:

If you are looking for a thrilling week of caving/ spelunking, whitewater rafting and camping then look no further. This program has what you are looking for. Spend time out at Laurel Caverns Park in Farmington, PA caving, rappelling and spelunking. Then it is off to Ohiopyle State Park for adventurous whitewater rafting, hiking, exploring and camping. At the evening camp-outs, you will prepare dinners and share loads of laughs with friends under Pennsylvania’s beautiful starlit skies. Some of the Timbercrest favorites (swimming, songs, laughter, and fun) are also included in this fantastic program. Girls will receive a special Girl Scouts patch for completing the caving portion of this trip.

Cadette – Cadette Trail Adventure

Girls will earn requirements towards the following Girl Scout Badges: Cadette – Eco Trekker Seniors – Adventurer Camper

Seniors – Adventurer Camper Session 4 - July 28 to August 2, 2024 Session 5 - August 4 to 9, 2024 Fee: $560 per person

Leadership Program for Girls Age 13- 17 Junior CIT (Counselor In Training)

• Girls receive training prior to caving/rappelling

Two Weeks - For girls ages 13 & 14

• Parent consent letter and release forms will be emailed prior to your daughter’s participation

Begin training to become a camp counselor. Junior Counselors in Training (JCITs) learn the fundamentals of leadership, camp management, childcare and the safety and risk management aspects of running a camp program. A participant must demonstrate appropriate maturity for her age, have leadership potential, a positive attitude and be able to work well with others. Junior CITs can access all of the basic camp programs, (e.g., swimming, exploring nature, arts & crafts and relaxing around campfires.)

Session 2 - July 14 to 19, 2024 Fee: $550 per person

This is a two week program, where girls go home between the 2 sessions. No application, interview or references required. Sessions 4-5 - July 28 to August 9, 2024 Fee: $680 per person

CIT Four Weeks - For girls ages 15-17 (Prepare yourself for future summer camp staff positions) This four week course will concentrate on the fundamentals of the Girl Scout Camping program, counseling techniques, leadership, self-esteem, and provide skills that are necessary when working with younger campers. CIT/Riding Instructor Four Weeks - For girls ages 15-17 (Prepare yourself for future summer camp staff positions) This four week riding program is for girls who wish to teach riding at the camp level. Concentration will include extended riding and teaching skill training, as well as counseling techniques, leadership, selfesteem and ways to work with younger campers. Riding Counselors in Training (RCIT) will receive certification in First Aid and CPR and their CIT pins after successful completion of this program. You must be at the intermediate to advanced levels of riding for this program. For girls in grades K-6 Girls, bring your “favorite gal” (mom, aunt, grandmother, sister, cousin or friend) to enjoy all that Camp Timbercrest has to offer. Go hiking on our adventurous trails, swim in Keyser Lake and play on our new and really cool water toys, make a special gift to take home in arts and crafts and spend time around the campfire with your fellow camp friends. Camp Seven Hills July 7 to August 9, 2024 Camp Seven Hills is located in Holland, NY, and encompasses approximately 620 acres of woodland paths, sunny meadows, ponds, streams, and hills. The camp facilities include a lake, pool, central dining hall, shower houses, cabin and platform tent units, a vast sports complex, horse stables and riding areas and a high- and low-ropes challenge course. At Camp Seven Hills girls in grades 1-12 will have an opportunity to participate in a variety of activities such as swimming, boating, outdoor skills, arts & crafts, ropes challenge course program, horseback riding, and out-of-camp trips. This is the perfect resident camp setting for your girl(s) to meet and make new friends, learn more about her abilities and share an authentic summer camp experience with others. Pony Pals This basic introductory program will help girls get to know the “ins and outs” of the horse program. Girls will have one introductory horse lesson and one guided horse ride. Girls must wear long pants and boots with at least a 1/2" inch heel. This equestrian program includes all levels of horseback riding. Lessons will focus on balance, seat equitation, control at a walk & trot (canter for more advanced riders) skills and horse management including basic barn chores, grooming, cleaning of the stalls, and feeding of the horses.

Spend not one, but two weeks challenging yourself and mastering the elements of the Seven Hills Ropes Course. Then, on Saturday of this twoweek program, it’s off to Holiday Valley’s Sky High Adventure Park to experience their adventurous tree course program. All of the great ropes course elements of Seven Hills and Holiday Valley are available for your group to choose. All of this while still enjoying the splendors of camp life. Girls will earn the Seven Hills ropes course patch along with the activity rider for each ropes course element that they participate on. Night Owls on the Prowl Are you ready to experience nature's nightlife at Camp Seven Hills? Prowl around our trails at night, search the sky for a shooting star, play glow in the dark games, have a glow in the dark party, plan a kitchen raid and shop in the Tuck Shop all at night. Bowling and a pizza party at the AMF Bowling Alley are is also included. After a hard night of play, sleep late the next morning with time to enjoy your favorite camp activities in the afternoon. Time Travel… Back to the Future! Spend the week discovering the glitter and elbow grease it takes to become a rising star. Learn some of the “ins and outs” of the theatre—try your hand at acting, dancing, makeup, and more. Spend Tuesday and Wednesday of this special week traveling to NYC to see Marty McFly, Doc Brown and the rest of the cast in the Broadway production of Back to the Future.* Partake in a “Broadway Classroom” with professionals from the cast of Back to the Future. You will recreate a true Broadway rehearsal taken right from a scene of the famous musical. Time will be left to visit Rise NY (one of the best new interactive museums in the city), NYC Girl Scout Central, along with a little shopping. Leadership Programs for Girls Age 13-17 Junior CIT (Counselor In Training) Two Weeks - For girls ages 13 & 14 Begin training to become a camp counselor. Junior Counselors in Training (JCITs) learn the fundamentals of leadership, camp management, childcare and the safety and risk management aspects of running a camp program. A participant must demonstrate appropriate maturity for her age, have leadership potential, a positive attitude and be able to work well with others.
