SAW DUST 401(k)SCOOP Increase to 401(k) Contribution Limits Did you know that the IRS increased the 401(k) contribution limit from $22,500 for 2023 to $23,000 in 2024? If you are age 50 or older, you can also make catch-up contributions up to $7,500 in 2024. Take this opportunity to increase your contribution to the Toll Brothers 401(k) Savings Plan.

For every dollar that you contribute, Toll Brothers will contribute 50 cents, up to 6% of your eligible compensation. If you aren't contributing at least 6% to the 401(k) Savings Plan, you are missing out on free money every pay period. Receiving the full match today may create more opportunities for you to enjoy in retirement.

If you are not currently contributing or are not maximizing the match, now is a great time to start. An increase of just 1% can make a big difference.

You can also check out the optional auto-escalation feature where, once you enroll, your contribution rate will automatically increase by 1% every July. The sooner you start, the more you can make your contributions work for you.

During his employment he has learned many jobs and has been a top performer in all cases.

Chad Kallenbach-- Mill Crew Leader- Morrisville, PA When you think of the ideal Craftsman, you think, "focused on the details" "brilliant quality" "works great under pressure" "cool, calm, and collected". These and more describe Chad to a "T". We are so lucky to have Chad (and Brian who work SO well together) leading our Mill shop, at TIS, and I need to acknowledge how refreshing it is to work with someone who always has an answer to any of the thousands of questions that arise while creating a new manufactured item. Chad is someone who comes up with the solution before you even saw that there was a problem. He's well respected, VERY talented, VERY smart, and someone whose quality of work is inspiring to me. Chad is a true Keystone for us here at TIS, and it is an Honor to work with him. I'm very grateful to have him as a part of our organization.

December: Holiday Fun The Culpeper Plant held a Gingerbread Man decorating contest in celebration of the holiday season this year. The 14 gingerbread entries were cut out of scrap OSB that would have otherwise been discarded as trash. The judging was done by all of the plant employees casting their vote for their favorite. The competition was fierce and the winner was decided by only one vote. But after tallying all the votes, Shawn Feiffer walked away as the Gingerbread Man decorating champion and a $100 gift card to spend this Christmas. Shawn went the extra mile on his decoration by adding lights and the Congrats to Shawn for an awesome creation!!

SAW DUST SCOOP Hard to Say Goodbye Rich Eschbach –Morrisville PA

Rich started at Toll Brothers 33.5 years ago as a Production Worker with the intention of only working here for 6 months to gain health care; and then go back to his prior self-owned remodeling business. Those 6-month turned into 34 years. Rich has been an intricate part of starting a successful Panel line in Morrisville, PA; Knox, IN; Culpeper, VA & Emporia, VA. Rich is always the go to person when there is a new idea to test or equipment to help install. Rich plans on eventually moving down to the Carolinas with his wife Toni and continue running their non- for- profit bulldog rescue charity.

SAW SCOOP HardDUST to Say Goodbye Janet Gillam Emporia, VA Janet’s journey to Toll came after many hard and crazy years in the Retail Management field. Knowing she needed a change and looking for a work-life balance she took the plunge and decided to go work for Chris Johnson at BSC Homecraft in 1996 and not too long after TIS-VA was born. She has worn many hats over the years and has made many fond memories and experienced many exciting times. She expressed how blessed she was when her personal and family life took hit after hit with medical issues, but was grateful for having her work family always by her side through it.

Janet expressed her thankfulness for Toll Brothers and the opportunities that she has been given. She will take with her wonderful memories with her family at the Toll Guest Homes. As she enters the next phase of her life. She passed the torch along to her forever family with a little bit of advice. “Care about each other! Lift each other up and encourage one another. Every day tell yourself that you are going to Make a Difference in Someone’s life today and ask God to lead you to the one that needs it most.” After 24 years at Toll she is ready to spend the next phase of her life spending time with her family, grandkids and making many new memories.

A Message From John Mangano It feels as though we just started the year, but believe it or not, we are now in the 2nd quarter!

2024 is shaping up to be a good year for Toll Brothers, with Sales well ahead of last year, this means TIS will remain very busy well through the end of this year. We are starting to see the typical order growth for this time of year in all our plants, but I think we are going to see a little more than usual now that interest rates have started to come down slightly. Many buyers are banking on that trend to continue, so they are signing up for a home now. Toll Brothers is expecting to sell a lot of homes in the next few months, so get ready for a wild ride this spring!

At TIS we always have several initiatives going, and many of us are right in the middle of many of them right now. I thought I’d take a moment to highlight a few of these for everyone’s benefit.

Increase inventory Turns: Inventory Turns is a measure of inventory efficiency- ordering just enough material to keep our machine running efficiently without having too much sitting for too long. When inventory sits too long it increases the cost of what we do. Our goal is 12 inventory turns; that means that we use up everything we have (turn it) 12 times in a year; or to make it more relatable, everything we buy is consumed within a month. This is an industry standard, and it takes a lot of skill and coordination between departments to make this happen. Currently, depending on the Plant, our Turn rate is between 7.5-9.5 turns. This goal of 12 is within reach; we just need to work together to accomplish it.

Reduce the number of Transfers: A transfer is when material is distributed between our plants. In a perfect world, the perfect amount of material would go to each plant for the right price, and it would be consumed at the expected rate, and then our transfer cost would be zero. That’s not realistic, because our business is not that perfect, but again, with skill and coordination between departments, we can easily reduce the number of Transfers between our plants in half. That is our Goal; reduce transfers by 50%.

Improving our Millwork Experience: Our customers have spoken, and to put it bluntly, they just aren’t happy with this part of our business. It’s not the Quality, but all the other things that collectively make it harder for them to complete a home. We must do a better job of figuring out how to get the right amount of material to them when they need it, so that that the work can be completed on site without call backs for missing items. This is a priority issue Rick, Matt, Brian & Deron are working to correct.

Finally, Goals. Each of us has been asked to create goals for ourselves for 2024 that support the Company and TIS Goals. Noted above are just 3 of the many goals established for TIS in 2024, and I am asking that each of us make it a point to know & understand the TIS Goals, and how you can support them in your role. Please ask your manager to go over them if you are unsure of them. The deadline for setting your goals, reviewing them with your manager, and inputting them into Workday is fast approaching: 2/16. So please jump on that task you have not done so already!

We have a great team that does extraordinary things for Toll Brothers every day. I am proud of what we do. Goals and initiatives are how we continue to take our craft to the next level. I want to thank everyone for your hard work and dedication which has given TIS a great start to 2024. Our collective efforts have enabled us to lower the price of our products this coming quarter, Adding Value is what we do for Toll Brothers. Thank you!
