MANZANITA QUINTET +

Joining vibraphonist-composer Joel Ross on stage is Northern Nevada’s very own Manzanita Quintet — Adam Benjamin, Peter Epstein, Hans Halt, Andrew Heglund and Josh D. Reed. Comprised of core faculty members of the University of Nevada, Reno’s Program in Jazz & Improvisational Music, Manzanita Quintet (formerly The Collective) is recognized as one of the most imaginative and distinctive jazz ensembles in the northwestern U.S. The talented group has released four albums and is actively performing, recording and teaching throughout the world. Manzanita Quintet’s latest album, “Osmosis,” released in June 2023, features a set of fresh, original compositions.
