INTRODUCTION

Overview

Get Your Teach On is excited to announce a very successful first year in partnership with the Indiana Department of Education for the 2022-2023 school year. Through this partnership, the GYTO team provided professional development opportunities to Indiana educators and leaders including free conferences, workshops, and training sessions, online virtual webinars, Indiana school collaboration site coaching and school-wide implementation, and more. These opportunities were designed to ignite educators’ passion for teaching and education, expand on current IDOE initiatives to support and elevate the educator profession, and make students want to come to school and learn while developing relationships. Get Your Teach On looks forward to continued success with this incredible partnership during the 2023-2024 school year in the state of Indiana.

Goals

Support the implementation of improved inclusive practices for students with disabilities and other identified student subgroups including Black, Hispanic, and ELL students to increase student academic achievement.

Create a data and results-driven school environment focused equally on optimal conditions for student learning and success and high impact strategies for increased student achievement of all students.

Promote positive, appropriate relationships resulting in increased engagement of all students by developing an engaging and rigorous student-centered culture and continued focus on shared collective responsibility for the success of all students.

Elevate the mission and value of Indiana’s K-12 educators by creating recognition opportunities to celebrate the impact of educators, in an effort to recruit and retain strong educators and leaders in IDOE.
