Do you know how much food Americans waste? We waste so much that it can feed all the hungry kids in the United States and their families two times every day. That’s a lot of food! Instead of throwing an apple away because it has one little bruise on it, cut it out and eat the rest. You may

n not think you do this but you and I do it unconsciously, we don’t even notice. We only accept the best, and only the best, so we throw out thousands of pounds of food a day when some people can’t afford to buy food for one. Try to make a difference. I will come up with earth-friendly and peoplefriendly tips and facts every month. Follow it. Will you do yourself and the world some good?

“Transformers: War for Cybertron” by James Cadotte “Transformers: War for Cybertron” is a third person action adventure game. Based a few hundred years before the events of the recent movies on their home planet Cybertron, the campaign features 13 action packed levels with a ton of replay-ability. You can play as many different Transformers which change the style of play. The multiplayer features four different classes: Scout, Scientist, Leader, and… find out for yourself! It offers a lot of customization, and very good graphics. If you are a fan of the Transformers series, you’re sure to like this game. This game was made by the fantastic HighMoon Studios! I would give it a 9 because of some frame rate issues nothing much!

Chapter Two: Stitches By Alexandria Maietta “Mother, must we sew in such a stuffy room? Why can’t we sew in, say, the sunroom, where there is better light?” I questioned Mother. The ladies-in-waiting we were sewing with looked at me as if I had just said that I enjoy bullfights. As they whispered to each other, Mother had the tone that meant I had crossed the line. “Yes, we must! This is a 120 –generation-old sewing room! Of course we must!” “’Kay, I was just askin’. Sheesh!” “Stop using that- that terrible- SLANG! Talk like the princess you rightfully are!” Mother screamed at me. When Mother screams, everyone takes notice. And so, a dozen or so guards, twenty ladies-in-waiting, and Father rush in. Poor, poor Father. He is always busy in his office three floors up. If he heard, everyone must have. So, I was sent to my room.

Sweet Treat

This month’s video game review! By Jacob Robbins

Fruit and Yogurt Parfait You Will Need: . one package of strawberries . one package of blueberries . three medium bananas . one large tub of strawberry yogurt . one cup of Life cereal . one medium sized glass bowl

First wash all fruit. Crush your Life cereal in a small bowl. Fill the bottom of your glass bowl with yogurt. Pour blueberries evenly into the bowl. Next slice bananas and evenly pour them into the bowl. Then slice strawberries and evenly pour them into the bowl. Next use the rest of the yogurt to cover fruit. Finally pour the crushed Life cereal on to the top of the yogurt. Refrigerate until ready to serve. By Evan Maietta

This month’s video game review is based on the new arcade/indie game called Rock of Ages. This is a fast, hi-paced game that is a mixture of a tower defense with the slightest hint of third person. You have an income and are supposed to defend your castle gates with catapults, towers, helicopter things, and buildings to make money in both single and multiplayer game modes. The only downside is the large lack of DLC. Of course this can be fixed if enough people buy the game. This is a highly addictive game with 12 gamer scoring achievements. There are many levels in the single player camping, each with 3 collectable keys. The game features amazing Monty Python like artwork and shows many ages of time. This would get 5 stars if it were up to me. This game is HIGHLY recommended if you have an Xbox or PC.

TIPS! By Kevin Alves Do you ever buy things from Amazon, and end up waiting 8-9 WEEKS!?!? This article will get your things straight to your house in under a week!* When prompted to buy the FREE Super Saver Shipping DO NOT do it! I know it seems like you are doing the wrong thing, but you’re not! When you use the free shipping, you’re adding more days! A simple 3 shipping days could turn into a 9-day wait because what they’re doing is, as I see it, pay-back for getting shipping free. Yes, regular shipping could be a little pricey, but it’s better than the wait. If you are going to get free 3 that is fine to do! Also, if you’re not a fan of waiting for your Amazon packages like I am, then get Amazon Prime. It maybe 80 dollars a year, but at least you get the first 30 days free, and if you sign up, all the money that you lose on Amazon Prime will soon come back when you save on all that shipping, which is free 2 day shipping! *Different products vary shipping time (not with Amazon Prime)

Mystery Man Mayhem! By Kevin Alves Who is the mystery man? John and I went to investigate more on the scoop. We interviewed Mrs. McCullam to see what we could find! We found out that his name is John Lavalle. He went to Mrs. Simond’s class! We asked about his profile, and she said when he was a child he was bullied and he didn’t have many friends, but he was also a quiet and nice guy. We think he escaped to see his family, who lived behind Southwick Zoo! As of right now, we think he escaped just to see his family. No one knows much about this except his sister who lives here in Uxbridge. Right now he is not yet found, and everyone thinks that he is laying low in the forest. I also interviewed a student from the Uxbridge High school, and she said that he also went to UHS! Don’t worry, though, right now the police say that there is nothing to be afraid of! I’ve been listening to all the stories, and most say that he’s a bigger threat to himself than he is to us. If you see him in a green jumpsuit or camo, you know who to call:

9-1-1!
