UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA COLLEGE OF VETERINARY MEDICINE ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING GCA EVP Dale Sandlin attended the College of Veterinary Medicine’s Advisory Council Meeting. The meeting featured a comprehensive update on the vet school, their case counts, and future plans to expand the number of veterinarians in rural Georgia. We appreciate their efforts and service to our industry.

GCA’S YCC SHORT COURSE GCA’s Young Cattlemen’s Council held this year’s Short Course. The course provided a unique educational and networking opportunity, enhancing attendees’ understanding of essential concepts and techniques relevant to the beef cattle industry. YCC spotlighted four main focus areas, including: land acquisition; business planning; direct marketing of beef; and herd optimization designed to present practical application and implementation methods for attendees to incorporate into their operations back home. Special thanks to Zoetis, who donated a vaccine cooler for the event.
