Beef Month Media For Georgia Beef Month 2022, we really capitalized on consumers’ desires to find quick, healthy recipes and learn more about how their food is produced. By partnering with Focus Media, GBB placed nutritional ads, recipe videos and producer highlights in our high consumer markets all over the state. The results from the campaign were very successful; we reached 250,000 consumers across our markets.

Georgia’s Best Burger Contest The second year of the Georgia’s Best Burger contest went off very successfully. We had more than 200 nominations from our cattle producers across the state of their favorite home-town burger joints. The 16 restaurants with the most nominations were placed head-to-head in a bracket where consumers voted down to the Fiery Four. We reached more than 100,000 consumers during the Georgia’s Best Burger contest, and Booger Bottom Yacht Club in Cobb was chosen by our judges as the best burger.

E-Commerce Opportunity with Kroger and Chicory During the lead-up to the Super Bowl and the NASCAR Xfinity Series Beef. It’s What’s for Dinner 300, GBB participated in a nationwide campaign centered around beef tailgating for both events. This was done through partnering with Chicory – an online recipe platform that allows shoppers to place all items needed for a recipe directly in their online grocery carts at Kroger. Overall, the success of the campaign was outstanding. We reached more than five million impressions and generated nearly $1 million in beef sales across the country.

Southeastern States Summer Grilling Campaign GBB is again teaming up with other state beef councils across the Southeast to promote the summer grilling season to encourage consumers to put beef on their grills. With more than 83 million consumers in the Southeast footprint, our region is unique in that we have the secondhighest number of consumers of any region but the highest number of beef producers. There’s a lot of new and exciting Summer Grilling content featuring Beef’s new spokesperson, Tony Romo, to share with our region’s consumers – and this effort will certainly work hard to place beef front and center during this season. The campaign’s flight will run from June 6 to Aug. 30, capturing key grilling moments and being ever-present during the summer. We’ll be using YouTube paid video and Spotify digital audio to efficiently reach consumers across the region.

Georgia Beef Board Barbecue Competition The Georgia Beef Board is partnering with Atlanta Motor Speedway and the Georgia Barbecue Association to host a flavorful competition during the Quaker State 400 Presented by NASCAR race weekend. The Georgia Beef Board BBQ Showdown will kick off on Friday, July 8; it will challenge participants to cook their way to the top in three categories to earn a VIP race day experience at Atlanta Motor Speedway and other great prizes: beef brisket, best race day beef recipe, and a sponsor’s beef entry using Coca-Cola or Pit Boss products. The participant who performs the best across all three categories will receive four VIP garage passes and four VIP suite tickets, plus a VIP parking pass for the 2023 spring NASCAR race at Atlanta. The overall contest winner will also be introduced on the pre-race stage before driver introductions, have their photo taken in victory lane, and receive a prize package from Pit Boss. Judges will also select winners in each beef category; they will receive a Pit Boss prize package and have their photo taken in Atlanta Motor Speedway’s victory lane and a Pit Boss Prize Package.
