We are extremely excited to be having our sale take place at the Kimball Livestock Exchange in Kimball South Dakota this year! We certainly appreciate the opportunity provided by the owners of Kimball Livestock to host our first live sale at their historic facility.

This year we are tremendously proud of the bulls and females selling. Our focus has always and will always be on commercial cattle producers. We have built our cow herd with strict selection parameters to capitalize on maternal traits, longevity, performance, fertility, udder quality, and overall prevailing design. P3 Angus is defined by three core values: 1. Power 2. Performance 3. Pedigree. Power is obtained through visual emphasis on genetics with muscle mass, volume, and core width and dimension. Performance comes from emphasis on producing progeny which grow fast and do so with efficiency. Pedigree is derived from our emphasis on utilizing maternal cows which have proven themselves and more importantly continued to prove their genetics in subsequent generations. When making our breeding plans each year, it is pivotal to always improve the genetics at hand. In fact, we expect our youngest cows to start competing with the proven aged cows if we do our job right. We strongly believe in balancing both phenotypic and genotypic traits. This means utilizing EPDs and genomics as tools to help predict genetic merit, but not for sole reliance.… in other words, if a genomic test predicts a trait to improve, we will endorse it only when the raw data and visual phenotype portray it…. The paper values must couple with ideal phenotypic design. At the end of the day, great herd sires come from great cows, and we feel we have built a herd with great validity. In the last 23 years, we have worked diligently to breed the absolute best seed stock we feel fit the guidelines stated above. We have done this aggressively through AI and embryo transfer modalities during our over two-decade existence. Our ET program has continually been an emphasis and will continue to be a centerpiece to proliferate superior genetics through our new ET lab and utilization of fellow cooperator herds.

When you look through the offering, there are a multitude of flush matings from our premier donors. There are both 18-month-old and spring yearling bulls in this year’s sale. These bulls will compliment many programs in dynamic ways as we consider optimal value in both grid and live weight programs. The overriding strength of many of these bulls will come from weaning and yearling growth as confirmed by performance and projected genomic testing in the upper percentiles of the breed. The females offered on the sale will come from the heart of our cow herd and donor arsenal. Many will without a doubt be donor prospects for the future and exciting breeding projects.

As we continue to breed for the future, we can assure the things you expect and the input we receive will always be strongly considered. As cattle producers, we are extremely gifted with the opportunity to control the genetics behind our cow herds.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION

All supplemental data will be available on the DVAuction website via our sale page, and on our website at p3angus.com. Yearling, scan data, and all updated information will be available at the above locations as soon as it is available. Fall bulls will be semen checked prior to sale day. Yearling bulls will be semen checked prior to delivery or a $50 credit will be applied if taken home on sale day.

GUARANTEE

We guarantee all bulls and females to be sound and reproductively fertile. In the event a problem occurs, we reserve the right to test any animal that is returned to the farm as a nonbreeder for 90 days before making an adjustment. Breeding season is defined as the 90 day period following the first turnout of the bull. Please notify us as soon as possible if a problem occurs. Buyer will be fully reimbursed for any animals not meeting requirements stated above.

BULL DELIVERY

Free delivery to a central point agreed upon by the buyer and seller will be provided within 300 miles on bulls selling over $4000. Volume buyers will qualify for free delivery stated below.

Buyers that take their bulls home sale day will receive $150/head discount. We will start delivering the remaining bulls in March.

Bulls may be kept after 4/1/24 at a cost of $2.75/head/day. We would ask that all fall bulls be delivered as soon as possible.

FEMALE DELIVERY

We would like all females to be taken to their destinations as soon as possible. We will help accommodate trucking the best we can.

If we have room on a truck delivering bulls and can get to a central point we will do so.

INSURANCE

At the conclusion of the sale all animals are the buyer’s responsiblity.

We strongly encourage our buyers to purchase insurance against death or injury. We cannot guarantee them against an act of God or sickness. Insurance will be available sale day through Dakota AG Insurance, Mitchell, South Dakota.

A pair of flush brothers by SAV Renew from a donor which anchors our Priscilla Cow family, NAF Priscilla 329. She is a favorite to anyone visiting as noted by her visual appeal in her picture. She is the definition of maternal… reproductively sound with a massive ribcage who injects body depth and ideal udder structure into her progeny. Her daughters continue to show up in the donor pool as seen throughout the offering. These brothers were accompanied by 5 flush sisters which will not be leaving the farm. It will be hard to discern phenotypic differences between these boys; however, each has attributes valuable to cattlemen. Nagorske Renew 2254 will offer an option to use in heifer projects with a birthweight of 78 lbs and verified genomic EPDs to support calving ease. Given his phenotype, it would be expected he could still add muscle and growth while being calving ease. Nagorske Renew 2274 will complement any commercial program wanting to add power and growth to a calf crop as he ranks in the top 15% for weaning weight. The daughters of these bulls should turn out to be productive dams.

NAGORSKE MADAME PRIDE 2019 Dam of Lots 3 and 13 This bull comes from one of the up-and-coming donors in our program, Nagorske Madame Pride 2019. She stems from our pathfinder donor, NB Madame Pride 8029, and is on her way to becoming a pathfinder herself with 2 weaning ratios of 110 on a calving interval of 358 days. He is sired by the now-deceased Hoover No Doubt and will draw attention come sale day. Phenotypically this bull is a true power bull who excels in the areas of dimension, thickness and body depth. Couple these attributes with a yearling weight epd in the top 4% of the breed, $F in the top 3%, and supreme carcass parameters and you have an ideal herd sire. His maternal brother, Nagorske Northface 3013 also sells and is equally impressive.

by Nagorske Madame Pride 2011. Their sire was appreciated for his explosive hip and muscle structure and these bulls are requisite.

They are also long bodied with great body depth and pattern. Nagorske Turnkey 2266 can serve as a heifer bull for those who don’t want to give up growth and power. He had a 80 lb birthweight and is supported by genomic EPDs necessary for calving ease with a nice calving ease direct and birthweight epd. If you want a maternal bull, this one ranks in the top 1% of the breed for $M, top 3% for Heifer Pregnancy and in the top 10% for $W. Nagorske Turnkey 2258 will bring more growth while ranking in the top 4% for weaning weight and 15% for Yearling weight EPD. He too is in the top 1% of the breed for $M and top 2% for Heifer Pregnancy. Lot 6 Here are some bulls by SAV Downpour and produced by one our younger donors, Nagorske Madame Pride 2011. These bulls have superior thickness and dimension while portraying growth characteristics in the top percentiles of the breed. Nagorske Downpour 2257 is a moderate framed bull with tremendous width through his chest floor.

He will indeed add growth as his weaning and yearling weights are in the top 10% of the breed. If you want to add even more growth, Nagorske Downpour 2261, projects a yearling weight in the top 4% of the breed and does so with more frame. This bull has a side profile to catch any eye and has ideal carcass parameters. Look for this guy to be highly sought come sale day!

His feet and legs are ideal, and he shakes the ground with every stride. A son by SAV Packer 1019 produced as a natural calf by another exciting donor, Nagorske Priscilla 9033. She is visually as stunning as you can make them and couples it with outstanding performance proven through her progeny. This son particularly sports a weaning ratio of 108 and has potential to be used on heifers with a modest birthweight. He is visually appealing and has outstanding feet and legs. This donor could be one of the most productive cows in our herd as she has an average calving interval of 336 days with 3 calves and 2 weaning weight ratio’s averaging 106. A daughter sold in our 2022 sale for $10,500 and we will be offering two daughters as sale features in this sale.

This bull is sired by SAV North Face and his donor dam is Nagorske Priscilla 9027, a LD Capitalist daughter who is a full sister to Nagorske Priscilla 9033, whom also has featured progeny in this sale. This guy was a favorite in the pasture this summer and continues to be a phenotypic stand-out in the pen. He is powerfully constructed and yet portrays complete style. He could work as a breeding piece in both seedstock and commercial operations. He too will rank in the top percentiles of the breed for weaning and yearling weight. Genomically, he ranks in the top 4% of the breed for yearling weight based on 1.3 million animals tested. Furthermore, look for his ribeye area to be superior as he ranks in the top 16% genomically and his dam has an average progeny ribeye ratio of 110.

The donor of this bull has as an explosive rib cage as you can put in a cow and her progeny continue to excel both phenotypically and genotypically.

This is a complete bull with superior thickness and overall dimension who continues to catch eyes in the bull pen. He performed with an adjusted weaning weight of 852 pounds and captured a weaning weight ratio of 108. This guy will produce ultimate progeny for both commercial cattlemen or purebred producers. He completes his resume with a modest birthweight and weaning and yearling weight EPDs in the top 10% and 15% of the breed.
