FIELD NEWS GEMS Church Inaugurated at Tekari of Gaya District in Bihar GEMS House of Prayer of Magahi 2 Zone was inaugurated for the glory of God at Tekari, Bihar. Pray for this GEMS church at Tekari to be a powerful witness of God's word and works. Pray for the missionary family and the believers to be effective witnesses to His name and the gospel; that this church may bring the whole community towards wholesome transformation. City Crusades Brings People to Christ in Bihar and Jharkhand Gospel was preached to more than 700 people through the GEMS City Crusades at Bettiah (PEACE 3 zone) and Jamshedpur (Vananchal Zone). Pray for all the people who attended the City Crusades at Bettiah and Jamshedpur to commit their lives to Christ and to be discipled to become transformed individuals and families. Pray for the believers to be witnesses. GEMS Missionaries Threatened and Persecuted in Bihar GEMS missionaries at Lalganj (Bhojpuri 3 zone) and at Aurangabad (Magahi 2 zone) are being continuously threatened by anti-secular forces to not preach the gospel & to stop conducting prayers. GEMS is serving at Aurangabad, Bihar for more than 30 years. Bro. Jinu Raj is presently ministering as the missionary pastor in this place since April 2016, as a family. Since 19th Feb 2017 twice he has been threatened to not preach the gospel and to not hold church service and prayers at his rented house. A group of people reached his rented place in the evening of 19th Feb (Sunday) and threatened him to not conduct prayers at his house. On 26th Feb (Sunday) while the service was going on a bigger group came and called the pastor down and once again warned him to not hold prayers. There are nearly 120 believers worshipping the Lord at Aurangabad. The house owner has asked the missionary to either vacate the house or to stop the prayers. 10


Bro. Ravi Bushan is serving as the missionary pastor at GEMS church in Lalganj (Vaishali district).

On 1st March he was threatened over phone that he would be killed if he does not stop preaching about Jesus. The believers in the village had also mentioned that a group of people are seeking to kill him. Rajesh Tiwari, Umesh Singh, Chandan Singh, Bittu Singh and others have threatened him with dire consequences. They have also told him to lock down the church and to not conduct prayers in the church. They also damaged the church roofing. They threatened him a year back too and when Bro. Ravi approached the local police station, his appeal was not heeded. Pray for the protection of the missionaries at Aurangabad and Lalganj. Pray for the persecutors to know the Lord, the Truth and be delivered from all evil ways. Pray for the believers to be steadfast in the Lord. GEMS Meeting Exhorts Youths of North Bihar to Live Like Joseph GEMS North West Region conducted a youth meeting at Bettiah through which 130 youths were encouraged in the Lord. The youth meeting at Bettiah was conducted at the GEMS Church, Bettiah on 26th Feb 2017. The meeting was organized by Bro. MJ Mathews (North West Regional Director). Sis. Jeyavathana (El Shadday Ministries) shared message from the life of Joseph of the Bible and encouraged the youths to live a life of purity and piety for God's purpose to be fulfilled through them. All the participants committed in prayer to lead a consecrated life in Christ. Pray for all the teens and youths who participated in the youth meeting at Bettiah to live a consecrated life and through that to witness Christ.
