his year, the famed Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, which has traditionally been held on the third Sunday of August, moves to the 4th Sunday of August to accommodate another event on the month’s schedule. This means a major shift for all events which are wrapped tightly around this weekend and the week leading up to it. Events which launched during the last five years have become strongholds, with all returning except the Rick Cole Auction. Major car clubs across the country continue to hold their annual celebration during this timeframe, and it’s not uncommon to see a dozen or more of the same marque meandering around town together. Marques like Lamborghini, Bugatti and Ferrari tend to draw exceptional crowds wherever they stop, and out come the phones (once known as cameras). Make your reservations now if you haven’t done so. Enthusiasts are still booking hotels and resorts to full capacity a year ahead of time before they even leave the Peninsula to assure they have accommodations when they return. AirBnB has become a refreshing alternative for many who have found quaint Carmel Valley cottages and even homes with an ocean view for less. Resort2me.com continues to be the go-to for lastminute rooms on the peninsula. However you get there, and wherever you stay, you are certain to build memories for a lifetime, immersed in automotive nirvana.

Garage Style Magazine Monterey Peninsula Garage Tour This year we host our 8th annual private garage tour. Our quaint group of invited guests gather early morn in Carmel where we enjoy a hosted breakfast while catching up with old friends and making new ones. You never know who will surprise the group as several industry names have joined us throughout the years. Outside, we admire one-another’s ride-for-the-day, which typically include several show-stopping machines amongst the rental cars and daily drivers. Then it’s on our way to multiple private garages on the Peninsula, graciously hosted by owners who rarely if ever allow a glimpse inside. Some have vintage cars and exotics, others have motorbikes and memorabilia. Always a surprise, we are thrilled to work with each garage owner to deliver a unique experience year-after-year, building memories along the way.
