Don’t stop thinking about Jazz Fest The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival announces its 2013 lineup. By Will Coviello

leetwood Mac, Billy Joel, Jill Scott, Willie Nelson, Frank Ocean, Patti Smith, Gary Clark Jr., Black Keys, Jimmy Cliff, Dave Matthews Band, Joshua Redmon Quartet, Gipsy Kings and Hall and Oates are some of the touring acts who will perform at the 2013 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival (April 26-28 and May 2-5) and the Fair Grounds Race Course and Slots. The Neville Brothers will not perform in their traditional closing slot, but the lineup includes local favorites Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue, Irma Thomas, Allen Toussaint, Dr. John, Dirty Dozen and Rebirth brass bands and others. Tickets are available through the Jazz Fest website (www.nojazzfest.com), Ticketmaster (800-745-3000; www.ticketmaster.com) and the box offices at UNO Lakefront Arena, Zephyr Field and the New Orleans Arena (after Feb. 5). Advance single-day tickets are $45 until Jan. 29, and there are several ticket packages offered. Tickets will cost $65 at the gate, children $5. Highlights of the day-by-day lineup are below.
