Designed by Never Boring | neverboring.com The Gallo Center for the Arts is a unique public/private partnership. Construction was funded jointly by the County of Stanislaus, which owns the facility, and contributions from more than 4,000 individuals and businesses given to a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization which today operates the Center.

Modesto Performing Arts is launching its 54th season with A Chorus Line, the hit show that opened on Broadway in 1975 and became the longest running musical at that time. Conceived and originally choreographed and directed by Michael Bennett, it is an exuberant celebration of those unsung heroes of the American musical theatre: chorus dancers. The show takes the audience through the final, grueling audition for a new Broadway musical. It’s also a celebration of the American musical itself, our country’s unique gift to the world. Among the show’s hit songs are “What I Did for Love,” “At the Ballet,” “The Music and the Mirror,” and “Dance: Ten, Looks: Three.”
