April the 13th was an action packed night celebrating the golden age of steam, a hand crafted menu, tremendous entertainment and a perfect Tenor finale.
had a surprise of her own, she slipped away and stunned her guests with a quick change into a little gold number, more stunning than Lana Woods dress in Diamonds are Forever. A hand crafted themed menu was created by Quirkey & his Tickethall chefs that consisted of...
More suave and sophisticated than the secret agent himself! With enough variety to keep M happy. Over fifty specially invited guests came to help Pat celebrate a special birthday - in fact - it was so special that 007 & his arch enemy - Ernest Stavro Blofeld - turned up to check it out. The guests gathered within the Sidings in Castletown, before boarding the fired up locomotive No. 13, Kissack, with its walkthrough saloon carriages bound for The Tickethall restaurant at Douglas station. At 19:00 precisely, the station master’s whistle blew and “all aboard” was shouted. The party was greeted at Castletown station platform by 007 & his famous adversary from Thunderball, Blofeld, they then enjoyed champagne and canapés served by the train’s very own butler, Nigel Sperring. As the party guests disembarked the train, they were piped into dinner by the Ellan Vannin Pipes & Drums. Clad in Manx National Tartan, designed in 1946 by Patricia McQuad, the guests walked down the platform past a cascade of pyrotechnics, stopping briefly to pose for a photo opportunity with two exquisite Aston Martins, parked outside The Tickethall with - of course - Pat’s personalised 007-PAT plates.

COCKTAIL BAR
Moneypennys favourite
On arriving at The Tickethall, the party goers were treated to one of the UK’s best cocktail barmen, David Winsworth, who used all his mixology skills to produce some “shaken, but not stirred” cocktails before dinner.

HEADS & TAILS 007 tossed the silver and gold coin presented to him in Her Majesty’s Secret Service in a thrilling heads & tails game. One lucky person on each table won a stunning martini glass floral centrepiece. The Tickethall was transformed as a venue into the ultimate 007 film set by Steffan Hoy from Complete Sound Services, with subtle low level lighting and extravagant oversized props and backdrops, in a very unique style! Beautiful illuminated table centre pieces of giant 80cm tall martini glass centres, with exotic floral arrangements, recreating aspects of the Bond films were created by Sue Brew.
The Bond Band for the evening
was the amazing ‘Another Shade of Blue’ five - piece band, a bespoke music talent who performed music from all 21 films, plus some famous incidental music too. What really sets this band apart from other acts was the ability to supply fantastic entertainment whilst blending into the background of the event, allowing them to re-create a full orchestral sound.
