A LOT OF BRASIL INDUSTRIES DIRECTOR
The A Lot of Brasil, the utopia of creating a Brazilian industry that carried the good values learned from my experience with Italian design. Glocality, new materials, and high technology form the initial tripod that led the brand. We created the largest furniture molds ever seen in Brazil. We created unprecedented sustainable technologies worldwide. We collaborated with the greatest names in international design, such as Alessandro Mendini (Italy), Pininfarina (Italy), Campana Brothers (Brazil), Vico Magistretti (Italy), Xavier Lust (Belgium), Luca Nicheto (Italy), Nika Zupanc (Estonia), Fabio Novembre (Italy), and others. As a creative briefing, we have always valued Brazilianness, but under a new perspective created by us called “Industrial Brazilianness.” In fact, as happened in the Brazilian Week of Modern Art movement in 1922, we explore Cultural Cannibalism. We learned to absorb global values transformed and digested by our local values.
A Lot of Brasil, a utopia de criar uma indústria brasileira que carregasse os bons valores aprendidos na minha vivência com o design italiano. Glocalidade, novos materiais e alta tecnologia formam o tripé inicial que conduziu a marca. Criamos os maiores moldes de móveis vistos no Brasil. Criamos tecnologias sustentáveis inéditas em todo o globo. Tivemos colaborações com os maiores nomes do design internacional, tais como Alessandro Mendini (Itália), Pininfarina (Itália), Irmãos Campana (Brasil), Vico Magistretti (Itália), Xavier Lust (Bélgica), Luca Nicheto (Itália), Nika Zupanc (Estônia), Fabio Novembre (Itália) e outros. Como briefing criativo, sempre valorizamos a Brasilidade, mas sob um novo viés criado por nós chamado “A Brasilidade Industrial”. De fato, como ocorreu no movimento da Semana de Arte Moderna Brasileira de 1922, exploramos a Antropofagia Cultural. Aprendemos a absorver valores globais transformados e digeridos por nossos valores locais.

The products of A Lot of Brasil are characterized by industrial experimentation. Throughout these 12 years of existence, I have obtained signatures from global designers. In order for this to be possible, I created the most technological Brazilian molds, patenting unprecedented raw materials combined with industrial processes. Here, the main characteristic is the expression of Brazilianness, however, in an industrial way.
Os produtos da A Lot of Brasil têm como característica o experimentalismo industrial. No decorrer desses 12 anos de existência, obtive assinaturas de designers globais. Para isso ser possível, criei os moldes brasileiros mais tecnológicos, patenteando matérias-primas inéditas aliadas aos processos industriais. Aqui, a principal característica é a expressão da brasilidade, porém, de forma industrial.

“The K2, which I developed for the Brazilian industry, is named for being a new interpretation of the Kandissi sofa, which I designed in 1979. Along with it, I also developed the fabric Carmen, so named in homage to Carmen Miranda.”
