Charleston Gaillard Center Announces An Evening with Brendan James

A Live Stream and In-Person Event September 17, 2020

August 24​, 2020 – Charleston, SC – The C ​ harleston Gaillard Center ​is thrilled to announce ​An Evening with Brendan James​ on ​Thursday​, ​September 17 at 7:30pm​. This live stream and in-person show will preview songs from Brendan James’s brand new album “Leap Taken.” As patron safety remains our first priority, we have implemented numerous measures to allow up to 250 guests to safely gather within the M ​ artha and John M. Rivers Performance Hall​. This event will have options for patrons to either attend socially distanced and in-person as a live studio audience, or experience the show virtually through online streaming.

Brendan is also offering a limited number of VIP upgrades that include a pre-show virtual meet and greet and an audio download of the live performance.

Tickets on sale Friday, August 28 at 11am. Live stream tickets start at $10; in-person tickets start at $30 (plus applicable fees). Limited availability for in-person tickets.

While we are still unable to open the 1,800 seat Martha and John M. Rivers Performance Hall at full capacity, we are overjoyed to safely welcome back patrons for socially-distanced events. We are honored that Brendan James, who performed in our first set of Lowcountry Listens performances, has chosen the Gaillard Center to debut his new album.”

ABOUT BRENDAN JAMES: Brendan James is an American singer-songwriter in the pop/folk genre, akin to Jason Mraz, David Gray, and Elton John. Signed to Capitol Records at age 25, Universal Records at 28, James has

reached the #1 spot on iTunes multiple times, accrued more than one million fans in 65 countries on Spotify, and has been played on multiple formats of American and European radio.

He has collaborated or toured with the likes of John Mayer, John Legend, Cat Stevens, Carly Simon, Keb’ Mo’, and Andy Grammar. And his songs have been placed in over 15 major television shows and films worldwide.

Truly summing Brendan James up is a difficult task though. You’d have to meet him, talk with him, and hear him sing his songs to understand his shocking talent and unique purpose in today’s over saturated music scene. His first single, “Through Our Hands” is an autobiographical telling of his family’s trip to 10 countries, watching his children grow ever too quickly along the way.
