PARISH Emmanuel Catholic College located within the Mater Christi Parish, Yangebup. The Mater Christi Catholic Church and adjacent Mater Christi Primary School are found a short distance to the west of the College. The relative proximity of this centre of our Parish has helped to forge a strong connection with Emmanuel. Mater Christi Parish is a community which offers an environment in which people can encounter God through prayer and liturgy. The Parish reflects our spirit of community where the presence of Jesus in our lives is apparent through friendships which are inclusive of all. The Catholic celebration of Eucharist is celebrated in the Chapel on Wednesday mornings at 8.15am. This is open to the whole college community, including the parish. The liturgy is prepared by members of different Form groups each week. On special occasions, such as the celebration of college feast day, Emmanuel Day, the whole school gathers for Mass. In addition, the College attracts enrolling students from a significant number of other surrounding Catholic and non Catholic feeder Primary Schools. These include Hammond Park Catholic Primary School, St. Jerome’s Catholic Primary School in Munster, St. Vincent’s Catholic Primary School in Kwinana, St. Emilie’s Catholic Primary School in Canning Vale and Xavier Catholic Primary School in Forrestdale. Enrolment applications are also received from surrounding government primary schools such as Jandakot, Atwell, Harmony, Success, Beeliar and Aubin Grove.
