HISTORY PORTFOLIO

Keeping origin in mind, the way we interact with life has become socomplex.Throughhistoryitisnoticeablethatarchitecturehas shaped itself in many different ways, with different techniques anddifferentcircumstances.

This portfolio describes the way humanity is portrayed in their workandhownewperiodsinlifeareformingbutnotdeveloping to their potential. This includes more than just buildings, because as the external environment continues to change, so mustarchitectureandsomustwe.
African Worldmaking deserves growing recognition in the role of architecture through creating worlds designed by, withorfornewlyindependentnations.
Therichnessinarchitectureissomething that's becoming prioritized as it draws the growing recognition of the role in architecture to create new worlds designed by, with or for newly independent nations and people. Specifically African countries had little developmentintheirpartofarchitecture, whichiswhytheinteractionwithitnow creates so many interesting opportunities that shape buildings in theirapplicableenvironment, ratherthan creating correct buildings but in the wrongplaces.
This report goes in to depth about the way architecture can be shaped beautifully as well as sustainably when viewing ones work through the eyes of thepeopleinteractingwiththedesignas wellasabsorbingtheexternalinfluences oflife.

The report also explains how a form of action for rights can result in much conflict, but it also shows that after conflict, progressionwillfollow.
Having researched and taken time to understand this building, it really is impressivetoseethedetailandthought that has gone into the design. This building really shows how african architecture could have developed into something beautiful and strong if only therewasntahaltonitbefore.

"Sustainability Is a Synonym Of Beauty"
~ Anna Heringer
The analysis of this part of the project was really eye opening as Anna Heringer goes into much depth about how simple on can create a sustainable building as long as you connect with the space properly. She also has many positive outlooks which give her a great push and her view on the beauty of architecture really encompasses how structure andartcanmeet.
In the bigger scheme of things, architecture takes upalotofland, makingitvitaltoseethatbuildings arevaluableandshouldevolvealongsidehumanity. It acknowledges the extensive mediation of architecture and the need to create an impactful stance in relation to a world saturated with the reminder of success and failure. This should encourage for a deeper connection with social media, especially during the digital age, as it can opensomanyopportunitiesforthefuture.
Architects have always worked with a wide array of media to create a secondary layer of impact, which is what differentiates architects from other figures in the building industry. Visual communication is howarchitectshavedevelopedtheirroleinsociety, which should now be docially be communicated as well.
This group project focuses on how there are many aspectstosuccessandhowmanywaysthereareto get there. With a list of things to keep in mind, the zine explains how certain decisions will influence and shape the environment, making it vital for certainthingstobeunderstood.

"TO BE YOUNG AND AWARE IS TO KNOW YOU’RE BEING LIED TO; TO KNOW THAT A BRIGHT GREEN FUTURE IS POSSIBLE; TO KNOW THAT WE CAN REIMAGINE THE WORLD, REBUILD OUR CITIES, REDESIGN OUR LIVES, RETOOL OUR FACTORIES, DISTRIBUTE INNOVATION AND CREATIVITY AND ALL LIVE IN A WORLD THAT IS NOT ONLY BETTER THANTHEALTERNATIVE,BUTMUCHBETTERTHAN THEWORLDWEHAVENOW."
"Today every major city has more than required institutions while there are none in small towns and villages. It is not just our contemporary practises but our attitude to the herirage that also needs much introspection."
~ B.V. Doshi
The evolution of architecture has created a wide array of different buildings, making it possible to learn, interpret and improve future designs. With that said, it is therefor important to engage and connect with existing work as it allows for improvementinourown.
Focusing on re-imagining and understanding a wide array of buildings, this project consists of a poster created by two, then branching that work outwards through class discussions, allowing easy comparison across the range of case studies, andfinallyindividualessaywork.
The exisitng and overlapping ideas of others allows for growth in architecture and theoretical issues (specifically ageing architecture in my essay) allow for expansion and greater opportunities. The design development should never reach an end, and learning about exisitng work can encourage buildings to remainstrongerforlonger.

THE BUILDINGS IN DUBAI ARE VERY CLASS BASED. MUCH DETAIL AND CULTURALSIGNIFICANCEORMODERN ARCHITECTURE. THE CITY HOLDS ALL THE TALL, AIR-CONDITIONED AND EXPESNIVE BUILDINGS, BUT NOT FAR THEREARELOWERCLASSAPARTMENTS THAT ARENT EVER SPOKEN ABOUT. DUBAI HAS SUCCESSFULLY MANGED TOBALANCETHERICHANDPOORBY MAKING EVERYTHING ACCESSIBLE WHILE MAINTAINING RULES AND REGULATIONS.
MOSCOW IS A VERY FULL CITY AND HAS MANY BUILDINGS. THE GENERAL LAYOUT IS TALL STRCUTURES, i.e. APARTMENT BUILDINGS, AND MORE GREENERYANDPUBLICSPACES.
MOSCOW HAS A VERY FLOWING SPACE AND SEEMS TO BE SUCCESSFUL AT MAINTAINING BOTH WINTERANDSUMMER.

In this book there is a visualization of how many different architecture periods developed independently with similar influences and circumstances. With the western influences, there has now been a great deal of prioritizing African cultural development in work.
3RD YEAR ARCHITECTURE WAS A MISSION, BUT HISTORY OF ARCHITECTURE... THAT NEVER LEFT MYSIDE.
THROUGHOUT THE YEAR I MEASURED MY PROGRESS COMPARED TO LAST YEAR, AND I FOUND THAT LAST YEARS WORK HELPED ME INTERPRET SO MUCH MORE THIS YEAR. SPECIFICALLY IN THE REAL WORLD, NOT JUST ACEDEMICALLY.
SINCE ONLINE LEARNING, THERE WASNT MUCH EXPOSURETOANALYSINGBUILDINGSINPERSON. AS I MANAGED TO TRAVEL OVERSEAS AND REALISED FIRST AND SECOND YEAR ARCHITECTURE WOULD JUST HELP ME TIE MY THIRD YEAR IN, I WAS VERY AMAZED BY HOW WHATIHAVELEARNTINTHREEYEARSWILLNOW ACCOMPANY ME THROUGH LIFE AND EVERY BUILDING, EVEN MINE SOMEDAY :):) THIS INCLUDESMATERIAL,SHAPEDESIGN,HISTORICAL PURPOSES, MISTAKES AND CORRECTIONS, CULTURALPURPOSES,ETC.
