“January has been a busy month for the Economic Development committee. We have moved our attention to the Columbus Park region of Des Moines. The committee hosted a community charette on January 19th. The goal of the event was to listen to concerns, opportunities and suggestions from community stakeholders on ways to improve that area of town. It was a fantastic opportunity to hear from the local community regarding their visions and goals for the future of their neighborhood. We were excited to have KCCI show up for our community meeting. Anytime we can bring positive attention to underserved areas of town we are excited!

Captain Roy’s Shiver on the River

Join Captain Roy’s on February 18th at 10am for Shiver on the River!

Registration for the game participants and teams is on Shiver’s Eve Friday February 17th beginning at 6 PM.

As always, you will have the opportunity to compete in a confusing menagerie of games and exhibitions, each one more insignificant than the last!
