Thanks to this joint effort, the Vagones del Conocimiento are becoming dynamic learning centers, where children, youth and adults can access digital literacy programs, STEM education and cultural activities that support their integral development.
El Placer: an educational model in innovation and technology
The location of these wagons also responds to the actions that the institutions and their communities have been building in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). In the case of Jorge Isaacs Educational Institution, which has a strong robotics group, the Vagones del Conocimiento will be an ideal space to continue developing innovative projects.
At the Teresa Calderón de Lasso School in Barrancas, the Vagón del Conocimiento will serve as a gathering space for children, teenagers, and families of the township. With a focus on collaborative learning, this space provides tools that enhance reading, research and digital literacy for all ages.

On May 10th, Providencia Ecological Park, located in Valle del Cauca, took part in Global Big Day, bird watching event, organized by the Cornell University Lab of Ornithology.
The event counted with the active participation of the community, park rangers, visitors and gathered in the park to record resident and migratory who explored the parkʼs diverse ecosystems, ranging from tropical dry forest to pastures and riparian zones. In addition, the Ecological Park has been the site of ecological restoration initiatives, becoming a refuge for more than 200 species.

At the national level, we rank fourth in checklist leaders and 38th in species.
At the Valle del Cauca level, we ranked first in checklist leadership and the 8th position in number of species.
In addition, the Ecological Park has been the scene of ecological restoration initiatives, becoming a refuge for more than 200 species. Thanks to these events, Providencia Ecological Park has become a regional reference for bird watching and environmental conservation.
