Galaxy Brand Guidelines

Page 1

Use of Galaxy™ by authorized distributors, including on co-branded marketing collateral. Frontline typically supports the majority of its Master Distributor partners by private labeling the portable display hardware products. With the Galaxy™ brand of digital print media and supporting tools and accessories, however, it is important that the brand is used consistently and in line with the following guidelines set out in this document. By committing to correct usage of our identity, both distribution partners and Galaxy™ benefit from the strength of our brand. A Galaxy™ distributor (or any other company) may not market its business as if it were Galaxy™ – it must be clear to customers they are a Galaxy™ distributor. Wherever a distributor logo and/or company name appears, it should be accompanied by ‘Distributed by’ for clarity.

Where possible, on Galaxy™ literature and other marketing collateral, the Galaxy™ logo and brand colors and format should be dominant. Avoid mixing brand elements; areas designated for adding partner branding would have content in the partner brand style. A distributor may use the name “Galaxy™”, or any factual phrase, to describe their business, as in for example: “We sell Galaxy™ products”, provided that the statement is true. Proprietary elements such as the Galaxy™ logo may not be modified by distributors in any way.

Logo CONSTRUCTION

The Galaxy™ theme was inspired by the idea that a line of media, tools & supplies would compliment our existing banner stand business and pair perfectly in the industry. The Galaxy™ logo can be used with or without “for your print space” tagline.

Tagline

Brand Guidelines | 1

Logo VARIATIONS

FULL COLOUR

Always default to using the Galaxy™ logo in full colour. Use the singular Galaxy™ logo when: • paired with a partner logo • overlaid on a white label (P7) • placed beside a sub-brand and/ or product name (ex. Max-Flat) • the words “for your print space” are included elsewhere within the design

Notice the grayscale version of the logo with the tagline is not 100% black; the tagline remains a lighter tint in comparison to the Galaxy™ logo.

Logo CLEAR SPACE

CLEAR SPACE

Clear space must be maintained across all media and channels. To calculate clear space, use the letter ‘y’ from the Galaxy™ logo as a border. Alternatively, the necessary clear space equates to approximately 15% of the Galaxy™ logo.

Clear space = width of ‘y’ (or 15%)

MINIMUM SIZE

To maintain legibility at any scale, the Galaxy™ logo must retain a minimum height of 0.5” when displayed with the tagline “for your print space”. When displayed without the tagline, the Galaxy™ logo must retain a minimum height of 0.375”.

Logo CO-BRANDING

When pairing the Galaxy™ logo with a partner logo, place the Galaxy™ logo on the left. Display logos as optically equal in size. Use the larger clear space requirement of the two logos. If unsure; apply the Galaxy clear space rule (P6) to both logos to calculate the space required between the two.

Examples of incorrect usage of the Galaxy™ logo: • Don’t place the logo directly on a dark background or one without contrast. Place the Galaxy™ logo directly on a white background for maximum visibility. • Don’t rotate, skew, or distort the logo in any way. Colour changes of the logo are not permitted. • A subtle drop shadow can be applied to a white label or footer. Do not apply visual effects directly to the Galaxy™ logo.

Elements SUB-BRANDING: TREATMENT

When pairing a sub-brand with the Galaxy™ logo, ensure the Galaxy™ logo is larger in size, and that the name/ description of the product is included below the sub-branded logo. Visually horizontally center sub-brand and descriptor with Galaxy™ logo. Do not allow those two elements to be larger than the Galaxy™ logo ring. Optional: include a vertical blue divider. Maintain pre-determined safe space (page 6). The divider should be in Galaxy™ Atmospheric Blue, and be slightly taller in height than the Galaxy™ logo ring.

Sub-brand elements can be used on their own without having to be placed directly next to the Galaxy™ logo.
