Pearland Cart Use Automated Service FAQ’s • When will the new service start? Frontier Waste will begin service
for residents on Friday, October 1st.
• Will I have to pay for the new cart? No. The new recycling and
trash carts will be delivered without additional cost. The capacity of the new cart should be sufficient for the average household, considering it will be serviced twice per week, along with once per week recycle services. If the 95 gal cart is not sufficient, an additional cart may be requested for an additional monthly rate.
• Is my service day changing?
For the majority of Pearland residents, service dates will remain the same. Less than 10% of addresses will see a day change. Check out the detailed service map on pages 11 & 12. Residents can also check for updated service maps via Pearland’s website (& entering your address), the Frontier Waste App, or Frontier’s website.
• What will happen if my service day falls on a holiday? Frontier
will observe two (2) holidays - Thanksgiving and Christmas day. Scheduled service that falls on one of these two holidays will be serviced the next scheduled service day. (Ex: Residents scheduled for trash service on Thanksgiving Thursday will be serviced on the following Monday. Scheduled recycling or bulk/ green waste will be serviced the following Thursday.) Again, all service days and holidays can be found via page 10 or from the links above.
• Is there a different truck for recycling?
Yes, the recycling truck will be a different unit, but both trucks will operate in the “SideLoad” mechanical arm function.
• How should the carts be set out on my service days? Carts
should be placed with the lid opening facing the street and the wheels closest to the curb. Each cart should be a minimum of 4 ft from any objects including mailboxes, fire hydrants, cars, other carts, etc.
