Message from the Executive Director As we enter year three of life in the time of COVID, I am in awe of our creative and innovative arts community, and the patrons who support them. It is with gratitude and admiration that we share this publication to update you and inspire you to continue as artists or patrons of the Arts. Over the past year, new music has been created and performed virtually, many events were able to open with social-distancing and mask-wearing, and we reopened ArtHop. This edition of ArtWell is full of examples of how the Arts continue to inspire and encourage positive work in the community, despite the challenges we have all faced. FAC continues to provide services in correctional institutions and schools. Our partnership with State Department of Corrections and the California Arts Council has allowed us to continue to send art lessons into State institutions at a time when individual participants are experiencing significant isolation and stress because of the pandemic.
