Hot Club of Paris music with the sweaty soul sound of Dixieland and adding in a bit of bluegrass, a pinch of ragtime, and some western swing. The latest from this Americana band is a live recording, The Ark.

Abilene Bar & Lounge | Oct. 14 The folk-blues singer Maria Muldaur is perhaps best known for her Grammy-nominated song, “Midnight at the Oasis,” released in 1974. She has several RIA A Certified Gold and Platinum Records to her credit; and has won the Naird award as “Best Adult Alternative Album” and the AFIM Indie Award as “Acoustic Blues Album of the Year” in addition to a Grammy nomination for Richland Woman Blues. She’s also appeared on stage in Pump Boys and Dinettes as well as The Pirates of Penzance.

Hochstein Performance Hall | Oct. 14 Hailed as “brilliant” by critics, The Neave Trio features American Anna Williams on violin, Russian Mikhail Veselov on cello and Toni James, from Scottland, on piano. They have performed across the U.S., Europe, the UK and South America, scoring a prestigious Chamber Music Residency at the Banff Centre in Canada.

Kilbourn Hall | Oct. 16 Ana Lains, a rising star in the performance of Portuguese fado music, has been praised for her ability to connect with audiences, appearing in concert halls worldwide. She will be joined at this performance by fellow fado singer Pedro Galveias.

House of Guitars | Oct. 17 Singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Sean Coleman is a Boston rock musician, active since the ’90s. As a writer, his songs carry complex melodies and insightful lyrics. Sean is known as the lead singer/guitarist of the band, That’s That. He also frequently performs solo and with his trio, as well as The Slushpuppies.
