My Graduation Thesis for the master Architecture, Building and Planning at the Eindhoven University of Technology. The city of Rome has known several irratic developments in the twentieth century. The urban fabric now envelops the remnants from antiguity, the most dominant typology being the 'palazzina'. The research starts out by examining the urban growth of Rome, followed by an increasingly narrow focus on the typology of the palazzina, after which a proposal is made for a palazzina development on the former airfield of Centocelle.
