A growing city centre
Future transformational projects building on existing infrastructure Frankston’s city centre has already undergone a major transformation in recent years, thanks to public sector investments such as the newlook Young Street, Wells Street, Frankston Station and the Chisholm TAFE Frankston redevelopment.
Frankston City Council is a member of the South East Melbourne (SEM) group of councils that have a combined vision for job creation, job retention, future proofing the community and ensuring liveability and sustainability for the south east Melbourne and Mornington Peninsula regions.
A priority project of Council and SEM is the ongoing revitalisation of Frankston’s city centre that will create job opportunities, greater accessibility to government, health and education services, boost the local economy and result in future private sector investment such as five star hotels and city centre housing.
There are a number of projects that Council, Victorian and Australian Governments can partner on to deliver these important outcomes for our local community. For more information on these transformational projects, head to pages 10 and 11.
