SATURDAY 18 JANAURY 2014 11:05am Shoot the Messenger A teenage band founded in Frankston in late 2012, Shoot the Messenger plays pop-punk, alternative rock, punk, hard rock, poprock genres and recently released a demo. They have played in venues such as the Esplanade Hotel in St Kilda, the Thornbury Theatre and many more. Shoot the Messenger has three members; Jordan Dearsley (lead vocals, bass), Trent Tucker (guitar, backing vocals) and Lukas Goodchild (drums, backing vocals). The group only plays original material, which they continue to write and perform in front of a rapidly developing fan base.
11:40am Heidi Luckhurst Soulful Blues-vocal influenced by artists such as Etta James, Stevie Wonder, Eva Cassidy, Colbie Cailat, John Lennon and Aretha Franklin. Heidi complements her music with an original flair on covers from musicians and bands as diverse as the Kings of Leon to The Temptations. Born on the Mornington Peninsula and still living here 28 years later Heidi is a true local. Heidi was brought up surrounded by live music, her father working as a recording engineer and bass player around the Mornington Peninsula from the early ‘80s, Brother Ryan known as local performer ‘Lucky, Singer/song-writer guitarist and Uncle Kelvin Blogg who is Heidi’s current accompanying guitarist.
