This is a concept of what the next evolution of the jeepney could look like. The form is basically a rounded rectangular prism on wheels with an electric powertrain. This is an exercise on how to modernize the jeepney without compromising the local jeepney manufacturing industry. The simplicity of the form allows the bodywork to be fabricated by existing local jeepney manufacturers using familiar methodologies. The smooth surfaces can also be a canvas for murals.

The jeepney is cultural just as much as it is utilitarian, so it is essential to retain a certain resemblance of its history and meaning.

ALUMINUM CASING The material would be bent to conform to the underlying structure. The signages can be changed depending on the budget

of the operator. SEATING Seating that can be configured depending on the need of the operator and the commuters

The tethering system of the seats is design to be configurable, and to directly align with the structural system of the vehicle.

A. Normal Configuration This configuration can accommodate 19 seated passengers and 15 more standing passengers. This configuration is ideal under normal circumstances, because it resembles the layout of a traditional jeepney.

B. Special Configuration This configuration can accommodate around 14 seating passengers. This configuration is ideal if there is a need to avoid face-to-face arrangements,
