The poetics of space The other’s life

In fact, instead of having the building leaf crawling with openings, the latter have turned to be the protagonist of the whole narrative. The view from the outside, therefore, is fundamental and creates curiosity and surprise in finding leaves that define the interior space. The latter, at the end, is a sort of stage, where different elements (curtains, carpets, wallpapers) break the geometrical severity of the buildings.

The semplicity of this handmade collage draw my attention in the way the cloud becomes architecture, equipped with door and windows. During the Autumn Leaves workshop, this cloud was physically transferred in the leaf figure. Although my first interest headed to a different direction, that is, choosing a leaf that could supply the functions of a specific building, at a later stage I reversed the process.

From the concept to the variations

These plans, elevations, sections and conceptual drawings show the iter, from the beginning to the end. The elevations, of course, are the main subjects of representation because they convey the perception of the leaf from different point of views.
